COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach Newswire – 13 July 2026 – The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has climbed 14 places in the latest Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings 2027 to rank 18th globally, entering the global top 20 for the first time. This milestone reflects significant improvements across key indicators, including employer reputation, international research network, and international student ratio, while retaining a full score in international faculty ratio.

CUHK’s Academic Excellence and Global Research Impact

CUHK’s academic rigour is further recognised in the 2026–27 Best Global Universities Rankings by U.S. News & World Report, where it ranks 28th globally and 5th in Asia, remaining Hong Kong’s top university for the fourth consecutive year. The University features 15 subjects in the global top 50, including five in the top 10, such as Education and Educational Research (#1), Gastroenterology and Hepatology (#2), Computer Science (#7), and Arts and Humanities and Artificial Intelligence (both ranked #9).

CUHK: Where Bold Ideas Become Impactful Research

CUHK provides an exceptional environment for impactful research, supported by approximately 300 research institutes and centres, alongside four state key laboratories approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. Reflecting on the academic environment, Zhamilya Zhirenova, a PhD student in Biomedical Science from Kazakhstan, has deepened her expertise through her involvement with the Centre for Neuromusculoskeletal Restorative Medicine (CNRM), an InnoHK research centre CUHK established with Sweden’s Karolinska Institutet.

Unlike traditional research pathways, where students are often confined to a single university laboratory, Zhamilya gained extensive experience at Hong Kong Science Park, a dynamic setting that closely resembles industry. “It feels more like an industrial company,” she reflected, “and that experience has been invaluable.” For researchers with ambitions beyond academia, such early exposure to the pace and expectations of the biotech industry provides a distinct advantage.

Nurturing the Next Generation of Scientific Innovators

Many of CUHK’s scholars are globally renowned experts who have made significant breakthroughs in their respective fields. These experts provide valuable mentorship, cultivating an intellectually stimulating environment for innovative research.

At the Centre for Novostics, an InnoHK research centre dedicated to advancing molecular diagnostics, Yasine Malki, a Chemical Pathology PhD student from Hong Kong, highlighted mentorship as a defining aspect of his experience at CUHK. Benefiting from the mentorship of Professor Dennis Lo, CUHK’s Vice-Chancellor and President, and a pioneer in molecular diagnostics, Yasine collaborates with specialists in molecular technologies, bioinformatics, and clinician-scientists, exemplifying CUHK’s dynamic, multidisciplinary approach to medical science.

Through the latest global rankings, CUHK continues to demonstrate the impact of its research and scholarship. The University offers robust financial support to attract top-tier global talent, such as the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) for the 2027–28 intake, which provides over HK$1.81 million (approximately US$232,420) in funding. Applications open on 1 September 2026.

Publishers Are Losing Their Readers to AI. The Washington Post’s Tech Arm Built a Solution

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

Arc XP launches Ask The News, giving news publishers a way to answer reader questions with their own journalism — and keep the audience data, conversions, and revenue that AI platforms are quietly capturing.

WASHINGTON, July 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Every day, millions of readers who once visited a news site now get their answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google’s AI Overviews — without the publisher seeing a single pageview, collecting a data point, or earning a cent. Arc XP, the media operating system built by The Washington Post, is launching a product designed to stop that.

New data underscore the urgency. According to the Reuters Institute Digital News Report 2026 (published June 2026), only 4% of AI chatbot users say they always or often click through to original news sources — compared to 19% from search. As readers migrate their questions to AI, publishers are watching referral traffic go with them.

Ask The News is an AI-powered answer layer that publishers embed directly on their own digital properties. When a reader has a question, Ask The News answers it using the publisher’s own reporting — with attribution, editorial guardrails, and guards against the open-web hallucination risk that defines generic AI tools. The publisher owns the interaction, the intent data it generates, and every business opportunity that flows from it.

“The industry has spent years worrying about Google and social platforms. The next threat is quieter and faster: readers learning to ask AI instead of visiting a news site. Ask The News puts publishers back in that conversation,” said Joey Marburger, Vice President of Content Intelligence, Arc XP. “The question is whether publishers own that moment of reader curiosity, or whether someone else does.”

For decades, the article has been the primary unit of digital news engagement. Ask The News introduces a new layer built around the reader’s question. Rather than requiring audiences to scan headlines or leave a publisher’s site to understand a story, Ask The News surfaces relevant questions, allows readers to ask follow-ups, and synthesizes answers from the publisher’s own journalism. The product automatically declines to answer when there is insufficient source reporting to do so confidently — a guardrail that sharply distinguishes it from general-purpose AI tools.

“Ask The News has the potential to change how audiences experience our journalism,” said Martin Kautz, Head of Media Technologies at RND – RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland. “It gives readers a more intuitive way to explore our reporting while helping us preserve control of the reader relationship and better understand what people want to know.”

The product launches with three core capabilities. Conversational Embeds allow publishers to deploy Ask The News across articles, homepages, and apps, with auto-generated suggested questions and a natural-language interface grounded in the publisher’s reporting. A Subscription Gateway meters answers rather than articles, presenting a conversion prompt after a reader has already received value — a higher-intent moment than a traditional paywall. And Contextual Advertising with IAB Topic Intelligence classifies reader questions and answers in real time, generating intent-level signals that route through a publisher’s existing ad stack without surrendering audience data to a third party.

“Search shows links. Generic AI gives answers from the open web. Ask The News answers with a publisher’s journalism, rules, and business model,” Marburger added. “This is about building a durable reader habit: when you have a question, you go to your trusted news organization first.”

Ask The News is now available to Arc XP publisher partners, with a standalone deployment for non-Arc XP publishers via a JavaScript embed. Arc XP plans to expand the product into a broader intelligence platform, with future capabilities including personalized briefings, saved conversations, topic tracking, editorial intelligence dashboards, and proactive reader experiences.

“Each residence at ONE Carmel is designed as a living work of art, where architecture, landscape and light are thoughtfully composed to create something truly unique. We call them Art Residences,” said Crystal Jiang, chair of ONE Carmel. “We are crafting a community rooted in the untamed beauty of Carmel and the technological brilliance of Silicon Valley, Europe’s rich cultural heritage and the exquisite hospitality and service standards of Asia.
Plans for the heart of ONE Carmel include a clubhouse to serve as a gathering place for the community. Residents will enjoy comprehensive wellness and lifestyle amenities, exclusive programming, dedicated concierge services and private hiking trails. The venue is set to host equestrian programming, art exhibitions, performances and culinary experiences inspired by Carmel’s longstanding artistic and creative legacy.

Recognizing the importance of speed and security, thoughtfully integrated technology will be supported through advanced fiber infrastructure, secure connectivity and future-ready systems designed to evolve alongside residents’ needs. This digital foundation enhances privacy, security and convenience while allowing the community’s architecture, natural surroundings and personal connections to remain at the forefront of the experience.

Through the ONE Carmel Foundation, philanthropic initiatives will be dedicated to supporting select cultural, artistic and equestrian organizations across the Monterey Peninsula. The Foundation will focus on environmental stewardship, cultural preservation and community engagement, reinforcing ONE Carmel’s long-term commitment to the region and its residents.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

Two-time Olympic champion runs in Brazil with the smartwatch he helped create

BRASILIA, Brazil, July 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — For decades, elite racing relied on highly precise positioning and professional full-marathon modes — advantages strictly reserved for professional teams. To nail accurate pace tracking and stable full-race monitoring, runners once depended on sophisticated professional gear and dedicated coaching support; reliable, lab-level positioning and endurance data were truly only accessible to elite athletes. With the HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2, Huawei has brought professional-grade GPS accuracy and dedicated full-marathon modes to every course: steady, high-precision positioning in real races, reliable full-process monitoring throughout 42.195 km, refined through real-world racing and endorsed by the greatest marathon runner of all time.

Eliud Kipchoge, a marathon legend and two-time Olympic champion, serves as the smartwatch’s global ambassador and played a direct role in its development alongside the high-performance team at dsm-firmenich. The Kenyan athlete embarked on Eliud’s Running World, a two-year journey to run a marathon on each of the seven continents, with the goal of inspiring more active lifestyles around the world.

The second stop of the tour brings him back to a special place: Porto Alegre, on July 12, during the NB42K Porto Alegre. It was on Brazilian soil that Kipchoge won his first Olympic gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics, making this return particularly symbolic. “Each continent has its own spirit, and I want to share this journey with South America while inspiring people to believe that no human is limited,” said the athlete.

What Kipchoge will put to the test in Porto Alegre is exactly what any runner can purchase today. The HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 is designed to democratize sports science for runners of all levels.

One of the smartwatch’s most innovative features is its Intelligent Marathon mode, which supports tracking for a wide range of World Athletics‑labeled races and guides athletes through preparation, race day, and recovery.

For instance, the device includes a virtual pacer that calculates pace deviations in real time, displaying an on‑screen avatar that shows runners the exact pace needed to hit their targets, kilometer by kilometer. In elite marathons, this level of support has typically been reserved for professional athletes; with the GT Runner 2, it is now available to everyone. For Kipchoge, it will serve as a tool to fine‑tune his race strategy on Porto Alegre’s fast and flat course. For recreational runners, it means knowing precisely when to push harder and maintain pace.

Eliud Kipchoge wore the HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 during the Porto Alegre Marathon, symbolizing the fusion of elite athletic performance and technological innovation. This has brought a device developed with insights from one of the greatest athletes in the history of the sport to runners worldwide. Importantly, he validated the watch’s performance with his own pace: its accurate data and comprehensive features are not just lab‑tested — they are real‑world proven, personally tested by the legend.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

XERF, the dual-frequency skin tightening technology that has transformed aesthetics practices in the US and Asia-Pacific, is now available across EMEA. It arrives as new consumer research reveals a spike in demand for non-invasive rejuvenation.

LONDON, July 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Cynosure Lutronic, a global developer of energy-based aesthetic technologies, today announced the European launch* of XERF, its next-generation monopolar radiofrequency (RF) skin tightening platform.

The only device in its category to deliver two frequencies – 6.78 MHz and 2 MHz – within a single treatment shot, XERF enables RF energy to penetrate multiple tissue depths simultaneously and address superficial, mid-dermal, and deeper structural layers within the same session. Since its launch in Korea, XERF has become one of the most in-demand RF platforms in the market, attracting widespread attention from global influencers and celebrities because of its ability to deliver visible, natural looking results without needles, numbing or downtime. Adopted by leading practitioners in both South Korea and the US.

European demand is strong

The launch follows major consumer research, commissioned by Cynosure Lutronic and conducted by independent research firm Appinio. The survey, of more than 4,700 adults across Europe and Saudi Arabia, suggests the European aesthetic market is primed for the exact type of treatment XERF delivers.

It found 58% of respondents rated firming sagging skin as very or extremely important, and 67% expressed a preference for treatments that do not require needles. Likewise, “clear evidence of long-lasting results” was the single most consistent factor that would motivate undecided patients to consider a non-surgical skin tightening treatment – cited by 28.3% of all respondents.

Nikhil Nathwani at Cynosure Lutronic, said:

“XERF has earned an outstanding reputation in the United States and across the Asia-Pacific region, where it has been adopted by leading practitioners.

“The appetite we have seen ahead of this launch has been remarkable. Clinics across Europe have been reaching out to learn more, which tells us the market was genuinely waiting for this.”

XERF was engineered in Korea and brings a range of innovations to the monopolar RF category:

These technologies are designed to reduce the need for pre-treatment numbing for many patients.

Nikhil Nathwani added:

“Data tells us people are not simply looking for treatments that make them look younger. They want to invest in the long-term health of their skin, and they want results they can trust to last. We’re proud to make XERF available to clinicians who are ready to deliver a genuinely differentiated treatment experience. We are not simply launching a new device, we are introducing a proven one to a market that is ready for it.”

XERF has become established as a go-to platform among Korea’s leading aesthetic physicians, and has attracted strong coverage in beauty, health, and lifestyle media in the US and Asia-Pacific, with interest from high-profile patients enhancing awareness among a wider consumer audience.

*Availability of XERF in each individual country is subject to the satisfaction of all applicable local regulatory and legal requirements in that country. CE marking alone does not constitute authorisation to market, sell or launch the device in any particular jurisdiction.

About Cynosure Lutronic:

With more than 30 years of combined innovation and leadership in energy-based devices, Cynosure Lutronic enables dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and aesthetic practitioners worldwide to deliver non-invasive and minimally invasive treatments.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

Adding proven SIM management scale and 100+ operator access to accelerate SGP.32 eSIM readiness

LONDON, July 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — CSL Group, the leading global provider of Critical Connectivity®
, has acquired IoTM Solutions Ltd, creating a global platform for resilient, multi-carrier IoT connectivity management and eSIM orchestration, designed for the next-generation of global IoT deployments.

As IoT deployments scale globally, enterprises, service providers and mobile operators are often required to manage SIMs, eSIM profiles and carrier integrations across separate portals, Connectivity Management Platforms (CMPs) and network platforms. This fragmentation adds operational complexity, slows carrier onboarding and makes it harder to adapt to changing regulation, permanent roaming restrictions and in-life service issues.

The acquisition strengthens CSL’s ability to help customers build resilient global IoT estates that can adapt to network outages, changing regulation and transition smoothly to SGP.32 – the GSMA’s next-generation eSIM standard for IoT.

Resilient IoT Operations for Global Connectivity

Founded in 2015, IoTM Solutions has developed a cloud-native platform that brings fragmented carrier systems, CMPs and eSIM workflows into one managed service, providing a single pane of glass view. The platform is vendor agnostic, taking on legacy estates or new deployments regardless of vendor, so customers manage SIM lifecycle, eSIM profile management, usage reporting, support workflows and API access through a unified operating model across multiple operators and platforms. This low-touch, friction-free approach means customers can provision their entire SIM estate seamlessly in hours, not days.

Already managing more than 30 million SIMs, with the ability to onboard over a billion, the platform supports 20+ native CMP, API and carrier platform integrations, with access to more than 100 mobile operators. This gives CSL immediate global scale, deep carrier integration and proven operational capability across its Critical Connectivity® and rSIM® services, providing more optionality and value for customers.

Combined with rSIM’s SIM-level resilience and CSL’s managed IoT services, IoTM Solutions expands CSL’s resilient connectivity offering beyond network failover. Customers can manage outages, local carrier requirements, permanent roaming restrictions and changing market conditions through a single platform.

Dan Amir, CEO & Co–Founder of IoTM Solutions, said:

“IoTM was created to remove the complexity of managing IoT connectivity across multiple operators, platforms and countries. Joining CSL Group allows us to bring that capability to a larger global customer base, supported by CSL’s managed connectivity services and rSIM resilience. Together, we can help customers and mobile operators simplify SIM and eSIM operations and prepare for the next generation of global IoT.”

The IoTM team will join CSL, and the platform will continue to support existing customers, operators and service provider partners.

Expanding CSL’s Capabilities

CSL already delivers managed IoT connectivity and patented rSIM resilience for life-critical and business-critical applications. By adding IoTM, CSL extends its role beyond connectivity, giving customers a single resilient operating model for managing SIMs, eSIMs, carriers and platforms throughout the device lifecycle.

Together, CSL and IoTM Solutions enable customers to deploy globally, adapt to local carrier and regulatory requirements, automate SIM lifecycle management and strengthen operational resilience as IoT estates grow. This creates a foundation for large-scale SGP.32 adoption while reducing operational complexity for enterprises, service providers and mobile operators.

Preparing Customers for the Next Generation of eSIM

The transition to SGP.32, the next generation of eSIM architecture for IoT, represents one of the most significant changes in how connected devices are provisioned, managed and supported throughout their lifecycle. As enterprises expand globally and permanent roaming restrictions continue to evolve, organisations need greater automation, orchestration and operational control over their SIM and eSIM estates.

By combining IoTM Solutions’ connectivity management platform with CSL’s managed IoT services and patented rSIM resilience, CSL is creating the operational foundation for both today’s global IoT deployments and tomorrow’s SGP.32 ecosystem.

Ed Heale, CEO of CSL Group, commented:

“SGP.32 marks the biggest change in IoT connectivity management since the introduction of eSIM. Customers won’t simply need a new standard; they’ll need a new operating model. Bringing IoTM Solutions into CSL Group allows us to deliver that; combining IoT connectivity management, eSIM orchestration and resilient connectivity into a single service that prepares customers for the next generation of global IoT.”

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

About CSL Group

CSL Group is the world’s leading provider of Critical Connectivity®. Founded in 1996, CSL has spent three decades building the expertise, resilience and managed infrastructure that life, mission and business-critical IoT applications depend on. Today, CSL manages over three million connections across building security, healthcare, infrastructure, utilities and transport, delivering always-on, fully managed, multi-path IoT solutions at scale.
Matching last year’s exhibition footprint, the 240,000-square-meter event took over eight halls of the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai (“NECC (Shanghai)”), making it Asia’s largest ACGN convention to date. According to data from Bilibili, the event recorded 400,000 attendee visits from more than 30 countries and regions over three days, an even wider geographic reach than in 2025. This year, 170 exhibitors from around the world took part, nearly a thousand itasha vehicles decked out in anime-themed wraps were on display, and over 60,000 cosplayers brought the halls to life.

Notably, 2026 marked the first time BilibiliWorld offered tickets for purchase outside mainland China. Fans from around the world turned out in force.

BW’s impact, however, extends well beyond the ACGN community, generating significant benefits for participating brands and Shanghai’s local economy. Every July, the convention gives a major lift to the city’s tourism, hospitality and restaurant sectors. Travel platform data shows that during the event, flight bookings to Shanghai by international travelers increased 35 percent year-on-year, citywide hotel bookings rose 126 percent from the previous month, while hotel bookings within a 5-kilometer radius of the NECC (Shanghai) surged 600 percent.

Since its launch in 2017, BW has evolved from a gathering of like-minded enthusiasts into a global ACGN event — a trajectory that mirrors the growth of the global industry. For the young generation, ACGN content has become a shared cultural language that transcends borders. From online communities to offline experiences, ACGN-related consumption is fueling the global cultural economy. BW provides a platform where enthusiasts from around the world can connect through their shared passion, transcend language barriers, and build the open, inclusive offline community they have always imagined.

Sopra Steria appoints Laura Chaubard to lead its Defence, Security and Space vertical

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

PARIS, July 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — A graduate of École Polytechnique, an General Engineer of Armament and former Director General of École Polytechnique, Laura Chaubard is taking over the leadership of Sopra Steria’s Defence, Security and Space vertical. Her appointment accelerates the Group’s sovereignty agenda, at a time when Europe is stepping up its defence spending and mastery of critical technologies is becoming a matter of national security.

Sopra Steria, a major player in the European tech sector, announces the appointment of Laura Chaubard to lead its Defence, Security and Space vertical, effective the 1st of September 2026; she will join the Group Executive Committee accordingly.

This vertical, which accounted for 13% of the Group’s revenue in 2025, brings together Sopra Steria’s most strategic activities in service of the armed forces, governments and major critical infrastructure. This appointment builds on a momentum already under way and reinforces the Group’s ambition: to be a leading European partner in critical systems, at a time when technological sovereignty is becoming a major strategic issue.

Why this appointment, now

Europe is increasing its spending on defence, security and access to space at a rate not seen in thirty years and is asserting its ambition for strategic autonomy. The choice of players that will design and maintain the critical systems – and their degree of independence from non-European players – is becoming a central question for European strategy.

This is precisely Sopra Steria’s territory. Its Defence, Security and Space vertical designs and integrates the critical systems of armed forces, security services, space organisations and major sensitive infrastructure: command, intelligence, cybersecurity, sovereign data processing, ground segments and space applications. It draws on proven strengths and strategic acquisitions: CS Group in particular, a wholly owned subsidiary, is a recognised integrator of critical defence and security systems. In May 2026, the Group completed the acquisition of Starion and Nexova, which strengthen its sovereign, secure capabilities in space and cybersecurity and consolidate its position as a leading European player in these markets. It is against this backdrop of accelerating growth that Laura Chaubard will take up her role, just as the Group sets out to make defence, security and space one of the engines of its growth in the years ahead.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

The chief people officers of SAP, The Kroger Co, bp, adidas, Lloyds Banking Group, Sony Music, AXA, Accor, Orange and more — leaders responsible for over 100 million employees — fill the Paris Convention Centre, 20–22 October 2026, before UNLEASH expands into the venue’s largest hall in 2027.

Find out how you can be a part of UNLEASH 2026.

PARIS, July 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — UNLEASH, the international HR conference and exhibition where the HR world meets, today announced the headline programme for Paris, 20–22 October 2026. Over three days at the Paris Convention Centre, 8,500 senior leaders from 140 countries, collectively responsible for more than 100 million employees, gather to answer one question: how organisations redesign, and in many cases reinvent, work in the age of AI.

An UNLEASH Exclusive: L’Oréal on Stage 1 — Humans × AI

Few companies demonstrate reinvention better than L’Oréal Groupe, sending global people leadership from across its 40 international brands to Paris. Named Europe’s Most Innovative Company by Fortune in 2025, with three entries on TIME’s Best Inventions of 2025, the group has made talent, skills and AI a single investment thesis. Group CEO Nicolas Hieronimus and CHRO Jean-Claude Le Grand join Stage to share how that investment built one of the most decorated innovation engines in world business, and what comes next.

Thought leadership

Acclaimed broadcaster, documentary filmmaker and author Louis Theroux anchors the closing keynote — “Two Visions, Two AI Strategies: One Extraordinary Conversation” — on 22 October at 15:05 CEST. He is joined by Josh Bersin, the world’s #1 HR industry analyst, in his UNLEASH Exclusive on the work technology market; author and playwright Dr Margaret Heffernan on leading through uncertainty; neuroscientist Anne-Laure Le Cunff on how humans think, learn and decide; nexxworks co-founder Peter Hinssen on the “never normal”; and IMD’s Howard Yu on becoming and staying future-ready.

The new category: work technology

UNLEASH was born where HR technology met the CHRO; the market has since outgrown the label. The platforms on the Paris show floor no longer automate a single HR function — they redesign how enterprises hire, learn, reward, plan and deploy work across people and AI agents. That category is work technology, and Paris is where it convenes at full scale, in front of the buyers who run the world’s largest workforces.

The most senior programme in the industry’s history

Alongside the keynotes: Jean-Dominique Senard, Chairman of Renault Group — credited with stabilising the Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi Alliance and co-author of the report behind France’s Loi Pacte; Eddie Wilson, CEO of Ryanair — the airline that transformed European aviation and keeps reinventing how it works; and Robert Gibbs, former NASA Associate Administrator for Mission Support, on leading complex missions through change.

They are joined by the chief people officers and learning chiefs of the world’s biggest employers including SAP SE, Google, Meta, bp, adidas, Lloyds Banking Group, Sony, Siemens, Ahold Delhaize, Merck Group, Accor, Orange, AXA, Thales Group and On.

A graduation year for Paris

2026 marks a graduation year for UNLEASH. Alongside a full house at the Paris Convention Centre, dozens of partner and community events run across the city throughout show week. In October 2027, UNLEASH expands into the largest hall at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.

“If you are tired of the doom and gloom around AI and jobs, Paris is the antidote,” said Marc Coleman, Founder and CEO of UNLEASH. “Leaders are not debating whether work will change — they are showing how they are reinventing it and winning. The 8,500 leaders in Paris hold responsibility for more than 100 million employees; when they make better, faster decisions about how work is redesigned, the world of work moves.
Tomocube Launches HT-T1 Desktop for 3D Glass Substrate Defect Analysis in Advanced Packaging

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

DAEJEON, South Korea, July 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Tomocube, a 3D non-destructive inspection and metrology company, today announced the launch of HT-T1 Desktop (HT-T1D), a desktop holotomography system for high-resolution 3D defect analysis of glass substrates used in next-generation semiconductor packaging.

HT-T1D is optimized for glass-substrate inspection and metrology workflows. When conventional in-line panel inspection tools, such as automated optical inspection (AOI) systems, flag a potential defect, HT-T1D takes the corresponding coordinates and reconstructs the interior of the glass substrate in three dimensions, resolving the location, morphology, and depth-wise characteristics of defects that surface inspection alone cannot reveal.

Glass core substrates and glass interposers are drawing growing attention as key enabling materials for AI accelerators, high-bandwidth memory (HBM), and other advanced packaging applications. As these substrates move toward mass production, however, manufacturers face mounting challenges in identifying the root causes of micro-defects introduced during complex process steps such as laser drilling, etching, metallization, and singulation. A single critical defect can scrap an entire unit. As a result, the ability to quickly turn inspection data into process improvements has become critical to production-line stability.

HT-T1D applies Tomocube’s visible-light holotomography to visualize the three-dimensional refractive-index distribution inside glass with a refractive-index sensitivity of 10⁻⁴. Because the measurement is non-destructive, the same location can be measured repeatedly across successive process stages, allowing users to track when and how a defect forms, propagates, or enlarges. The system is expected to shorten defect-analysis cycles that have traditionally depended on destructive failure analysis, reducing analysis time from days or weeks to minutes in applicable workflows and supporting earlier intervention ahead of high-cost downstream steps.

Alongside the hardware, Tomocube also introduced TomoAnalysis MI (TAMI), a dedicated 3D analysis software platform for metrology and inspection. TAMI quantitatively analyzes 3D refractive-index volume data and generates structured reports for engineering review. It also processes data from HT-T1M, Tomocube’s planned in-line module for deployment through system integration partners, in the same format — providing a unified workflow from R&D investigation through production-line review.

“Glass substrates are emerging as a critical material for next-generation semiconductor packaging, but true competitiveness in mass-production will depend on how quickly manufacturers can understand defects and translate that understanding into process improvements,” said YongKeun Park, Chief Executive Officer of Tomocube. “HT-T1D goes beyond defect detection, helping customers identify root causes and refine process conditions. We believe it will become an essential metrology platform for accelerating yield learning in glass-substrate manufacturing.” He added, “The same platform can also address glass photonic integrated substrates for co-packaged optics (CPO), where the refractive index itself directly affects device performance. This expands its applicability beyond defect analysis to areas that require functional metrology.”

With the launch of HT-T1D, Tomocube will engage glass-substrate manufacturers, advanced-packaging companies, and system integration partners to support 3D defect analysis, process review, and yield-learning workflows for glass-substrate manufacturing. The company will also continue to expand its glass-substrate inspection and metrology portfolio, including future in-line deployment through system integration partners, as it addresses the growing demand for defect-analysis and yield-learning solutions in advanced semiconductor packaging.

About Tomocube

Tomocube (www.tomocube.com) develops non-destructive 3D inspection and metrology solutions based on holotomography. Building on optics and three-dimensional imaging expertise established in bioimaging, the company is expanding into industrial markets including semiconductor packaging, displays, and glass substrates.

Forward-Looking Statements

This press release contains forward-looking statements, including statements regarding expected product capabilities, potential customer applications, future in-line deployment, market opportunities, and Tomocube’s business plans. These statements are based on current assumptions and expectations and are subject to risks and uncertainties that could cause actual results to differ materially. Tomocube undertakes no obligation to update any forward-looking statements, except as required by applicable law.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

— Continuous Magnetic Field Detection, ±5 Gauss High Sensitivity, andQuadrature A/B Outputs for Smart Utility Metering, Rotary and Linear PositionSensing, and Motion Control

ZHANGJIAGANG, China, July 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — MultiDimension Technology Co., Ltd. (MDT), a leading supplier of magnetic sensors and a pioneer in Tunneling Magnetoresistance (TMR) technology, today introduced the TMR1228D dual-axis bipolar latch magnetic switch IC. Combining always-on magnetic field detection, ±5 Gauss high sensitivity, microamp-level power consumption, dual-axis sensing, and high-frequency response, the TMR1228D is designed for smart utility metering, industrial position sensing, speed detection, and motion control applications.

The TMR1228D integrates high-sensitivity TMR sensing elements with CMOS signal-conditioning circuitry to convert changing magnetic fields into accurate digital output signals. Unlike conventional Hall-effect switches that rely on duty-cycled operation to reduce power consumption, the TMR1228D leverages TMR’s inherent low-power characteristics to achieve continuous magnetic field detection while consuming as little as 1.5μA per axis. This eliminates missed detection events caused by intermittent sampling, delivering faster response and higher reliability for always-on sensing applications.

The TMR1228D incorporates independent X- and Y-axis sensing channels with separate outputs, supporting industry-standard quadrature A/B signals for rotary and linear position, speed, and direction detection. This simplifies the design of motion sensing systems while providing greater flexibility for multi-axis magnetic detection.

With ±5 Gauss operating and release points, the TMR1228D enables the use of smaller magnets, wider air-gaps, and greater mechanical design flexibility. For applications requiring stronger magnetic fields or different magnet configurations, MDT also offers the TMR1222D, featuring ±17 Gauss operating thresholds in the same package and pinout to support a broader range of mechanical structures and magnetic circuit designs.

The TMR1228D is ideal for electronic water, gas, and heat meters, quadrature encoder systems, rotary and linear position and speed sensing, and other battery-powered or always-on sensing applications.
