STOCKHOLM, June 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Domsjö Fabriker is moving forward with plans to further develop its existing operations at High Coast Innovation Park in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. The project has applied for a subsidy from Klimatklivet, Sweden’s national climate investment programme, to upgrade biogas from industrial processes into liquefied biogas, LBG, which can replace fossil diesel in heavy transport. The aim is to commission the plant during Q4/2028. 

The goal is to make better use of side streams and energy flows within the industrial cluster in Örnsköldsvik. Biogas from Domsjö Fabriker, and potentially other parties within the park at a later stage, will be upgraded into liquefied biogas, LBG, to be used as fuel sold on the open market. 

Once the plant reaches full capacity, it is expected to be able to replace approximately 100 GWh of fossil diesel per year with 100 GWh of LBG. This corresponds to an annual reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of approximately 26,700 tonnes of carbon dioxide. 

Sweden is currently highly dependent on imported fuels. Local production of liquefied biogas can contribute to increased regional self-sufficiency, stronger security of supply and better access to fossil-free fuels. This is particularly important for heavy transport, such as trucks and shipping, where the transition away from diesel is more challenging than for passenger cars. 

Domsjö Fabriker is collaborating with Adven, an infrastructure partner in energy, water and side-stream valorisation, which has participated in the project’s development and design phase. The ambition is to continue the partnership into the next phases.

Adven and Domsjö Fabriker intend to carry out the project, provided that the state climate investment subsidy is granted and that the necessary permits, including environmental and building permit, are obtained.

In this validation, DENSO, in collaboration with the relevant parties, was responsible for building and providing the technological foundation for battery passport, and TÜV Rheinland Japan, as the independent third-party certification body, have verified that the product complies with the EU Battery Regulation*[2] and is both practical and feasible for real-world use. This achievement lays a solid foundation for AESC’s energy storage products to enter the EU market. 

In recent years, societal expectations have increasingly called for achieving carbon neutrality and transitioning to a circular economy that enables resources to circulate within the economic system. As a result, efforts to develop sustainable products have accelerated. In Europe in particular, Digital Product Passport (DPP)*[3] is being introduced to digitally manage and present product traceability information. Under the EU Battery Regulation, a battery passport will become mandatory from February 2027 for batteries used in automotive, industrial, and other applications. 

At the same time, key challenges in addressing the Regulation include preparing data derived from actual data, operating the required systems, and ensuring overall practicality and feasibility, including third-party verification. 

Against this backdrop, DENSO and TÜV Rheinland Japan entered a memorandum of understanding in September 2025 to advance the Digital Product Passport*[
4]. Under this partnership, the two companies conducted a validation of a battery passport using actual data from AESC’s ESS batteries for the European market, with AESC serving as the data provider, to verify the practicality and regulatory compliance of battery passport under the EU Battery Regulation. 

DENSO provided a service to support the generation and management of battery passport in accordance with the EU Battery Regulation. Based on standards established by the Battery Pass Consortium*[5], the service generates a battery passport for each product and enables access to battery information via a QR code affixed to the product. The service also includes an access-rights management function that controls information available for viewing depending on the user’s role, ensuring data security while respecting the data sovereignty of each stakeholder and supporting regulatory compliance. 

As manufacturer of energy storage products, AESC prepared the necessary data for compliance with the upcoming battery passport mandate and provided data from its existing ESS business, while taking into account future exports to Europe and customer requirements. 

In preparation for full compliance with the upcoming battery passport mandate, AESC has implemented comprehensive sustainability and compliance measures across its value chain, extending beyond the specific data scope of this validation. The company deploys systematic supply chain oversight to enforce compliant practices and rigorous quality control. To support long-term sustainability, AESC has established, through the use of digital battery passport solutions, a closed-loop circular economy framework for battery recycling and reuse. 

As a third-party certification body, TÜV Rheinland Japan verified the data handled by the battery passport service based on the EU Battery Regulation and standards such as DIN DKE SPEC 99100*[6]. 

Through validation using actual data, the companies identified the data preparation and operational challenges associated with the EU Battery Regulation’s requirements in a real-world business environment. The validation also confirmed that DENSO’s battery passport service extends beyond meeting formal regulatory requirements and represents a highly practical solution that can be integrated into real-world business processes. In addition, the verification conducted by TÜV Rheinland Japan, as a third-party certification body, verified that the battery passport is effective in both regulatory compliance and data reliability. 

Based on this validation using ESS battery data, DENSO and TÜV Rheinland Japan will expand their efforts to include AESC’s automotive traction batteries and jointly advance the practical implementation of battery passport across a broader range of applications. The Italian manufacturer is marking its 60th anniversary by expanding its portfolio with BPA-free Eastman Tritan™ Renew copolyester — adding 25% certified recycled content* to chocolate molds.

“Escacena continues to grow as a district-scale copper exploration project, with a significantly expanded land position, more than 15 priority targets and a fully funded 20,000-meter drill program planned over the next 12-to-18 months to systematically test the Company’s growing pipeline of targets,” said Tim Moody, President and CEO of Pan Global Resources.

Escacena Project Expansion and New Exploration Programs 

Three new mineral rights applications (total 2,853 hectares) have been submitted adjacent to the Company’s highly prospective Escacena South area. Together with the recently awarded Escacena South area, the applications expand the Escacena Project area to approximately 16,745 hectares. 

A helicopter electromagnetic and magnetic survey is scheduled to commence in July across much of the Escacena South area to accelerate target prioritization and assist in identifying concealed sulphide mineralization. 

Exploration permitting continues to advance across Escacena South. The Trinidad and Carmen targets, where historical mine workings and surface massive sulphide occurrences coincide with prominent gravity anomalies, have been identified as priority drill targets once final permits are received. 

Phase 2 Drilling Commences at Cañada Honda 

A new phase of drilling has commenced at the Cañada Honda deposit, comprising an initial eight drillholes totalling approximately 2,500 meters. The program is designed to test extensions to known copper and gold mineralization and newly identified geophysical and geochemical anomalies. 

Cañada Honda is associated with a 3 km-long coincident gravity and Helicopter Electro Magnetic (“HEM”) resistivity-low anomaly located 4 km north of the Company’s La Romana copper-tin-silver deposit. Previous drilling comprised 16 widely spaced drillholes, focussed primarily on the eastern portion of the target, leaving most of the target untested. 

Previous drilling intersected significant copper and gold mineralization in multiple holes (January 30, 2024 media release, September 8, 2023 media release), including: 

Subsequent drilling demonstrated continuity of mineralization from surface to at least 600 meters down-dip, and mineralization remains open at depth and along strike. 

Assay results from the current drill programs will be released as they become available. 

Geophysical and Geochemical Surveys Generate New Drill Targets 

Recent high-resolution SQUID IP and Audio Magnetotelluric (“AMT”) surveys completed over a portion of Cañada Honda have identified several new drill targets adjacent to the modelled gravity anomaly. These surveys provide an opportunity to detect mineralization at greater depths compared to conventional IP. 

Coincident chargeability-high and resistivity-low anomalies are interpreted to represent favourable zones for sulphide mineralization and support the potential for a more extensive mineralized corridor as well as provide additional targets for the current drill program. 

Additional SQUID IP and AMT survey coverage is planned across the remainder of the 3 km-long anomaly to further refine drill targeting. 

Expanded soil geochemistry has also identified multiple untested gold anomalies associated with known mineralization and fault corridors extending across the broader Cañada Honda and El Pozo trend. Follow-up exploration is underway. 

Results from recent drilling at El Pozo, including a narrow high-grade polymetallic interval (Table 1) and multiple sulphide-bearing intervals associated with strong chlorite-sericite alteration, support the increasing prospectivity of this corridor and a large untested gravity anomaly north of the current drill area.

Sampling, QA/QC and Analytical Procedures 

Core size was HQ (63mm) and all samples were ½ core. Nominal sample size was 1m core length and ranged from 0.5 to 2m. Sample intervals were defined using geological contacts with the start and end of each sample physically marked on the core. Diamond blade core cutting and sampling was supervised by Company staff. Duplicate samples of ¼ core were taken approximately every 30 samples and Certified Reference materials inserted every 25 samples in each batch. 

Samples were delivered to certified and accredited ALS laboratory in Seville, Spain and assayed at the ALS laboratory in Ireland. All samples were crushed and split (method CRU-31, SPL22Y) and pulverized using (method PUL-31). Gold, platinum and palladium analysis was by 50 g fire assay with ICP finish (method Au-ICP-24) and multi element analysis was undertaken using a 4-acid digest with ICP AES finish (method ME-ICP-61). Over grade base metal results were assayed using a 4-acid digest ICP AES (method OG-62). 

The soil geochemistry survey includes samples collected from the top 20cm from surface (un-sieved, weighing approx. 1kg) on a 100m x 40m grid across the target areas. Samples were submitted to ALS laboratory in Seville for preparation by method PREP-41. Samples are sieved through a 180-micron mesh screen to remove a large portion of the quartz sand and sent to ALS in Ireland for geochemical analysis using Au-ICP22 (Au; 50g fire assay). More than 2% of the samples submitted to the laboratory include blanks, Certified Reference standards and field duplicates to ensure the compliance with QA/QC protocols of Pan Global Resources. ALS also undertakes its own internal QA/QC analysis to ensure proper sample preparation and equipment calibration

Mandibular Repositioning Technology Showcases Expanded Treatment Approaches
