BARI, Italy, Aug. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — ENGWE proudly returned as the Title Sponsor of Notte Bianca dello Sport (White Night of Sport) in Bari, Italy, further strengthening its commitment to sustainable mobility, community engagement, and social responsibility. By combining immersive product experiences with meaningful charitable initiatives, the event reflected ENGWE’s belief that every ride can contribute to a healthier, greener, and more connected future.

As one of the festival’s signature activities, ENGWE launched its “Ride to Give, Light the Way” campaign, transforming every test ride into an act of kindness. Throughout the event, hundreds of visitors experienced ENGWE e-bikes, and a donation was made to DisFare, the event’s official charity project proposed by the Italian association Il Mito di Efesto, on behalf of every rider who participated. The initiative supports people with intellectual, sensory, and mental disabilities by helping them develop practical interpersonal and life skills that foster greater independence and social inclusion.

The event also showcased several of ENGWE’s latest and best-selling models, including the L20 3.0 Pro, ZIP, and O20 Boost, giving riders the opportunity to experience the brand’s latest innovations firsthand. From comfortable urban commuting to versatile everyday mobility, the test rides attracted families, cycling enthusiasts, and first-time e-bike riders, creating valuable opportunities for direct interaction between the brand and its growing community.

The sponsorship comes during a milestone year for ENGWE. In the first half of 2026, the company expanded its product portfolio with the successful launches of the E26 3.0 Pro, O20 Boost and ZIP, further strengthening its presence across both urban commuting and lifestyle mobility segments. Alongside continuous product innovation, ENGWE has significantly expanded its offline presence across Europe, participating in major cycling and outdoor events including Sea Otter Europe in Spain, International Bike Festival (IBF), Outdoor Fix Festival in France, and Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs in the Netherlands. These events provide valuable opportunities for consumers to experience ENGWE products firsthand while enabling the brand to build stronger relationships with local cycling communities.

As ENGWE continues its global expansion, the brand remains focused on making sustainable mobility more accessible and creating value beyond its products. Through innovation, community engagement, and social impact initiatives, ENGWE is building a brand that inspires people to explore new ways of moving while contributing to a cleaner, healthier, and more inclusive future.

Cattron Announces CRA-Ready Wireless Remote Control Solutions

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

With the European Cyber Resilience Act’s first reporting deadline approaching in September 2026, Cattron is among the first industrial and locomotive remote control manufacturers to confirm that CRA-ready products are available now.

WARREN, Ohio, Aug. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Cattron, a global leader in radio remote control, engine and generator control panels, and cloud-based monitoring and control solutions, announced that a broad range of its industrial and locomotive wireless remote control and safety products meet the requirements of the European Union’s Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). The announcement positions Cattron among the first manufacturers in the industrial remote control sector to confirm alignment with CRA cybersecurity expectations, giving OEMs, integrators and end users a clear path to achieve compliance ahead of upcoming regulatory deadlines.

The CRA is a European regulation that introduces mandatory cybersecurity requirements for products with digital elements sold in the EU market. It requires manufacturers to build cybersecurity into product design, maintain vulnerability management throughout the product lifecycle and provide ongoing security updates and support. The regulation entered into force on Dec. 10, 2024, with manufacturer reporting obligations taking effect Sept. 11, 2026, and full compliance required by Dec. 11, 2027.

For industrial and locomotive wireless remote control systems, the implications are significant. “The CRA represents a fundamental shift in how our industry must approach cybersecurity,” said Stefan Schwiers, vice president of sales for Cattron’s European market. “It is no longer enough to add security features after the fact. Manufacturers must prove a secure lifecycle, from initial design through long-term post-market support. We have been engineering our products around these principles, and we are ready to support customers who need solutions now.”

Cattron’s CRA-ready product portfolio spans its core industrial and locomotive remote control and safety system brands:

These products incorporate a secure-by-design architecture aligned with the CRA’s Annex I requirements, including encrypted wireless communication and other features to prevent unauthorized access. Cattron’s newest generation of industrial remote control systems include secure configuration management. The systems are designed to defend against the specific threat scenarios identified by the CRA, and therefore, against unauthorized access at the machine interface.

Cattron’s compliance approach is guided by the relevant international standards for industrial automation and control system security, which the European Union has broadly mapped to CRA requirements consistent with CRA obligations. Beyond product-level preparedness, Cattron has committed to lifecycle cybersecurity support for its fielded systems. Industrial remote controls are often deployed for 10 to 20 years in harsh or remote environments where conventional network-based patching is impractical. Cattron addresses this reality through controlled hardware and firmware module updates, serial-number-level traceability across its installed base and structured remediation processes that ensure security can be maintained throughout a product’s operational life.

For existing customers, Cattron will proactively communicate the cybersecurity and compliance status of deployed systems, along with recommended actions where applicable. For new customers, the full range of CRA-ready products and supporting technical resources, including Product Declarations of Conformity, are available through Cattron’s dedicated CRA resource page.

Premium cosmetics brand chose recyclable material for an overcap that delivers aesthetics, strength and sustainability.

KINGSPORT, Tenn., Aug. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Prestigious Japanese cosmetics brand KANEBO has selected Eastman Cristal™ One IM812 specialty PET resin for the overcap of its new Generating Essentials Treatment Lotion.

“Rooted in KANEBO’s ‘Progress Care’ philosophy and our message, ‘Going beyond beauty, KANEBO heightens hope,’ this lotion reflects our approach to supporting skin through different stages of life rather than focusing on anti-aging,” said Shinsuke Magai, KANEBO designer. “We wanted the packaging to bring that philosophy to life through a design that conveys both refinement and progression.”

For the thick-walled black overcap, KANEBO needed a material that could meet demanding performance and design requirements, especially given the cap’s heavier construction. Cristal One IM812 met that challenge by passing drop impact testing and maintaining required strength after post-mold painting.

Cristal One IM812 delivered the precise aesthetic KANEBO envisioned: a clean, high-quality black with the right gloss and a subtle transition from opaque black to a more transparent black gradient at the top. This combination of toughness, transparency and color precision helped create a refined premium look without making the package appear overly heavy.

“From an engineering perspective, this packaging required careful alignment of material performance, processing and finish,” said Shota Kawasaki, KANEBO packaging engineer. “We evaluated several candidate materials, and Cristal One IM812 proved to be the best match for our needs.”

This specialty material can be injection molded and is designed to provide high transparency and toughness for premium cosmetic components.

KANEBO selected this specialty PET resin for its sustainability benefits, as it is recyclable in the PET recycling stream. Although compliance with the European Union’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) was not an immediate requirement for a product sold primarily in Asian markets, KANEBO chose to go a step further by adopting a material that aligns with anticipated future regulatory expectations.

Market response has been positive since the lotion’s January 2026 launch, and KANEBO plans to expand use of Cristal One Renew IM812 in upcoming products.

“KANEBO’s adoption of Cristal One IM812 in its product cap is meaningful to Eastman,” said Tara Cary, Eastman marketing manager for cosmetics and personal care packaging. “This commercial example shows how Eastman’s materials can help beauty brands address the challenge of combining sustainability with uncompromised appearance, durability and function.”

Kao, KANEBO’s parent company, has partnered with Eastman for many years. Built through collaboration on Eastman material innovations, the longstanding relationship reflects Kao’s confidence in Eastman’s global technical support and materials expertise for cosmetic packaging that demands premium finishes and reliable performance.

About KANEBOKANEBO is a prestigious Japanese cosmetics brand that conveys a message of hope, not just beauty. Centered on skin care, the brand also offers a full range of makeup products. At the heart of KANEBO’s skin care is a signature cream inspired by Taishi. Taishi (胎脂) is the Japanese term for vernix caseosa, a naturally disappearing substance that protects a baby’s immature stratum corneum from environmental changes and dryness. Through its unique skin care and makeup, KANEBO empowers individuals to pursue their aspirations while fostering a positive mindset.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

Potrei farlo.

Giorgia Meloni segue il day by day.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

Dal monitoraggio frammentato all’intelligence integrata

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

Joint report analyzes nearly one million publications to map emerging trends in polymer science

SHANGHAI and COLUMBUS, Ohio, Aug. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — PetroChina (Shanghai) Advanced Materials Research Institute Co., Ltd. (SAMRI), a research arm of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and CAS, a division of the American Chemical Society, today released Polymer Frontiers: A Comprehensive Data-Driven Analysis of Emerging Trends. The report is the organizations’ first joint publication, combining SAMRI material science expertise with CAS scientific data and analysis capabilities to map where global polymer innovation is headed.

“Polymer science is advancing on multiple fronts simultaneously, and the organizations shaping that future need a data-driven picture of where innovation is occurring, not just where conventional wisdom points. This report brings together CAS scientific intelligence with SAMRI industrial expertise to provide exactly that,” said Tim Wahlberg, Interim President, CAS.

Polymer Frontiers draws on nearly one million polymer-related journal and patent records from 2015 to 2025 in the CAS Content Collection™, the world’s largest curated scientific database. Using advanced bibliometric analysis and natural language processing, it identifies research hotspots, maps competitive positioning across geographies and institutions, and tracks emerging application domains. The report covers four high-priority application areas: polymers in energy storage, sustainable polymers, flexible electronics, and membrane technologies, also examines eight emerging frontiers, from next-generation polyesters and dynamic polymer networks to framework-polymer hybrids and conductive polymer systems.

Among the report’s findings: Asia-Pacific has emerged as the dominant center of polymer innovation, with China leading in fundamental research output and patent development across strategic domains including flexible electronics, energy storage, and membrane technologies. The report documents substantial growth in sustainable polymer research, with bio-based materials competing on performance criteria rather than environmental benefits alone. Energy storage applications show concentrated innovation around battery technologies, which account for an overwhelming 75% of all polymer-related energy storage patents. Clean energy demands are also driving rapid expansion in advanced membrane systems, particularly anion exchange membranes for fuel cells and electrolyzers.

“At SAMRI, we are committed to bridging fundamental polymer science with large-scale industrial applications that will define the next generation of materials. The report, jointly released with CAS, systematically reviews global innovation trends in both the academic and industrial sectors of polymers from a rigorous, scientific global perspective. It provides us with a clearer understanding of the global innovation competitive landscape and offers key guidance for our strategic research direction in advanced materials.” said Dr. Xudong Huang, Vice President of SAMRI.

61% of Adults Feel More Comfortable Expressing Themselves When Others Do the Same

LONDON, Aug. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — New global research* from Velo highlights the growing need for shared experiences, as Velo launches “Echoes of Tomorrowland” – a global network of live events and synchronised livestreams that bring the magical experience of Tomorrowland to fans around the world.

The campaign is backed by new research* that found that almost two in five adults (39%) say building meaningful connections has become harder with age. This is driven by a range of factors, including difficulty in finding people with the same interests (28%), feeling awkward (27%) fear of rejection (24%), and a fear of being judged (21%).

Velo, the leading nicotine pouch brand in Europe** made for true originals, and Tomorrowland together believe the ultimate catalyst for breaking down these barriers is the music itself. The physical dancefloor acts as a powerful space for connection, driven by its unique role in self-expression. 30% of respondents agree the dancefloor is where they feel most able to show up as their authentic selves and “dance like nobody’s watching”, while 61% feel more comfortable expressing themselves when they see others doing the same. This leads to meaningful connections, with 27% of 25-35 year olds agreeing that friendships made at live music or cultural events are more genuine than those formed in other social settings.

With many fans unable to attend Tomorrowland in person, Velo brought the festival’s energy, culture, and community beyond. And to prove that self-expression is contagious, the campaign kicked off with a bespoke social experiment at the Tomorrowland Store in Ibiza where guests were handed a beautifully crafted physical butterfly half and challenged to find a stranger holding the other half to complete the butterfly. This interactive social experiment instantly turned a room of strangers into an active, collaborative community.

The event, which took place on Friday 17th July, was headlined by Ukrainian house and techno DJ, Korolova, and featured a livestream from Tomorrowland’s mainstage. Recreating Tomorrowland’s unique culture of spontaneous community, Velo welcomed a mix of consumer fans alongside hosted media from the UK and Spain, and lifestyle and music creators flown in from all corners of the globe.

Through connected “Echo” events in Ibiza and others – featuring live stages, synchronised streams, and DJ sets – “Echoes of Tomorrowland” creates a unique space and opportunity for dance music fans to fully express themselves and experience something new together.

Reflecting on the unique energy of the night, global DJ headliner Korolova said: “The dancefloor is one of the few places where people feel completely free to express who they are without judgment. That’s the energy I felt throughout the night in Ibiza, thanks to Velo – it was incredible to watch everyone let go, show up as their true selves, and celebrate their originality together.”

Supporting artist Camden Cox added: “What stayed with me from the night was watching total strangers connect so easily through a shared experience. Sometimes all people need is a small invitation to start a conversation, and seeing the crowd use the physical butterflies to break the ice and dance together was pure magic.”

Malky Brown, Global Head of Content & Partnerships at BAT, commented: “With ‘Echoes of Tomorrowland’, we wanted to recreate the sense of connection that makes the festival so special. By encouraging people to step outside their comfort zones and connect with others, we brought to life Velo’s belief that self-expression can bring people closer together.”

This marks the fourth consecutive year that TONGWEI has been included in the prestigious ranking, recognizing its strong manufacturing capabilities, business resilience, and continued growth in the global clean energy market.

Despite a challenging global economic environment, only 122 companies from China made the list, making China the second-largest contributor after the United States.

Against the backdrop of global economic uncertainty and ongoing industrial transformation, TONGWEI’s continued presence on the Fortune Global 500 represents international recognition of its comprehensive strength. It also reflects growing confidence in the long-term value and development potential of the renewable energy industry.

Built on advanced manufacturing capabilities and continuous technological innovation, TONGWEI has established a vertically integrated photovoltaic ecosystem covering high-purity polysilicon, solar cells, and PV modules. Through large-scale intelligent manufacturing, strict quality control, and sustained R&D investment, TONGWEI continues to strengthen its position as a global leader in solar technology.

Designed with advanced cell and module technologies, TNC 3.0 delivers higher power output, improved conversion efficiency, and enhanced energy yield for diverse application scenarios. The series achieves a maximum power output of 770W and efficiency of up to 24.8%, helping customers further reduce LCOE and maximize project returns.

Certified by TÜV Rheinland, the module achieves a bifaciality of up to 93.07%, making it highly suitable for utility-scale projects and applications with strong rear-side irradiation potential.
