COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

PRESS RELEASE

Bloomberg (THEON:NA) / Reuters (THEON.AS)

27 July 2026 – Theon International Plc (THEON) is pleased to announce its Q2 2026 / H1 2026 Trading Update, for the period ended 30 June 2026, delivering sustained commercial and financial performance.

THEON maintained its growth momentum during the first half of 2026 and continued to deliver profitability in the mid-twenties and a book-to-bill ratio of c. 1.0x. The Group continues to benefit from resilient demand fundamentals, providing confidence in the achievement of its FY 2026 Guidance.

Further acceleration of activity and order intake is expected in the second half of the year, in line with the sector’s typical seasonality and THEON’s historical business pattern. Continued opportunities across key geographies, combined with the introduction of new products and technologies within THEON’s ecosystem, are expected to support further growth and materially enhance the Group’s total addressable market.

THEON continued to execute its M&A strategy during Q2 2026, announcing its largest acquisition to date. Despite the increased inorganic investment activity, the Group maintains a healthy balance sheet with year-end leverage expected to remain at sustainable levels.

THEON again reiterates both its FY 2026 Guidance and Medium-Term Targets, which include maintaining a book-to-bill ratio above 1.0x for FY 2026 and reaching €1 billion revenue by 2029.

Key Highlights

Financial Highlights

Operational Highlights

During Q2 2026, THEON continued to strengthen its position as a leading defence optronics group, benefiting from sustained demand in its core soldier systems business while accelerating its expansion into ISR solutions, drones, counter-UAS technologies and AI-enabled capabilities. Supported by acquisitions, strategic partnerships and targeted investments, the Group continues to broaden its technological reach and address an increasingly diverse range of defence requirements.

Corporate and Strategic Highlights

During the quarter, THEON continued to strengthen its industrial footprint and strategic ecosystem through investments, partnerships and integration initiatives. The Group also maintained an active presence at major industry events, showcasing its expanding product portfolio and next-generation technology roadmap to customers and partners worldwide.

*Both the HGH and MERIO acquisitions are subject to customary conditions, including regulatory approvals. MERIO acquisition is expected to be completed by the end of Q3 2026 and will be financed through a combination of debt and cash on balance. The closing of the HGH acquisition is expected to take place by the beginning of 2027 and is expected to be entirely funded through debt (no associated equity capital increase), with leverage reaching a pro-forma level of c.3.0x before lowering to c.2.5x by 2027.

THEON will publish its HY 2026 report on Monday, 7 September 2026, after market close. A webcast for analysts and investors will be hosted on Tuesday, 8 September 2026, with registration details published nearer the time.

Guidance and Outlook

Christian Hadjiminas, Founder and CEO of THEON, stated:

“The first half of 2026 demonstrates the strength of THEON’s business model and the effectiveness of our strategy. THEON has significantly accelerated its expansion into some of the fastest-growing areas of defence technology, with recent initiatives and joint business development activities already translating into commercial opportunities and new orders, validating our ambition of building a European defence optronics champion. We believe THEON is increasingly positioned at the forefront of a new market being created by the convergence of advanced sensing, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, ISR and next-generation soldier modernisation programmes. With an expanded addressable market of €8 billion (which is rapidly expanding further), growing geographical diversification and an innovation pipeline stronger than ever, we remain highly confident in both our FY 2026 Guidance and our ambition to reach €1 billion of revenue by 2029.”

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

In the news release, Economist Enterprise research, supported by HCLTech, confirms confidence in AI is high for the Telecom, Media, Semiconductor and Technology (TMT) industry, but business impact is still limited, issued 27-Jul-2026 by HCLTech over PR Newswire, we are advised by the company that the link has changed in the 7th paragraph. The complete, corrected release follows:

NEW YORK and NOIDA, India, July 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — HCLTech (NSE: HCLTECH) (BSE: HCLTECH), a leading global technology company, today announced the release of a new research report conducted by Economist Enterprise, the business-to-business arm of The Economist Group providing media solutions and intelligence services to organizations. Supported by HCLTech, the report examines how AI is reshaping competitive boundaries across the telecommunications, media and technology (TMT) industries and the widening gap between executive optimism and measurable business impact.

Based on insights from more than 200 C-suite executives across telecom, media, technology and semiconductor organizations in the U.S. and Europe, the research reveals that AI is accelerating convergence across the TMT ecosystem, forcing companies to rethink traditional industry boundaries as competitors, partners, adjacent verticals converge to create new sources of growth, differentiation and value.

The research also highlights an AI value paradox: while 91% of organizations believe their AI investments are delivering results, only one-third can measure the business value created, raising a critical question: how can organizations unlock AI’s full potential if they cannot consistently quantify the value it generates?

The report further highlights an execution gap as organizations move from AI experimentation to scaled adoption. While talent upskilling ranks as the top future AI investment priority, only 20% of organizations currently have a strategy for AI upskilling or hiring within their AI initiatives. Additionally, despite rapid AI deployment, only 17% report that governance is actively shaping how their AI systems operate.

“Our research makes clear that industry leaders recognize how AI can unlock new revenue models, strengthen customer relationships and bring them closer to their end customers,” said Charlotte Bullard Davies, Principal, Research Methods & Innovation at Economist Enterprise. “Organizations that successfully combine strategic focus, ecosystem collaboration and disciplined governance will be best positioned for future business growth.”

“The boundaries that once separated TMT are rapidly dissolving as AI becomes embedded across every layer of the value chain,” said Anil Ganjoo, Chief Growth Officer, and Global Head of Telecom, Media and Technology at HCLTech. “The next era of growth and competitive advantage will belong to organizations that move beyond AI experimentation and adoption toward industrialization, leveraging AI investments to deliver measurable business impact, create differentiated experiences and unlock new sources of growth.”

CGTN: Why China has become a hot summer destination

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

BEIJING, July 27, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — CGTN published an article exploring the China Travel boom. As a growing number of global travelers head to China in search of cooler destinations, the article explores the country’s boom in inbound tourism this summer, and highlights how China’s expanding visa facilitation policies and foreigner-friendly services are driving this travel trend.

As extreme heat grips much of Europe, a new travel trend is taking shape. Increasingly, travelers are looking beyond their own borders in search of cooler summer destinations, and China is emerging as one of their top choices.

With its cool climate and picturesque landscape of green hills and clear waters, Liupanshui City, known as China’s “cool city” in southwest China’s Guizhou Province, has emerged as a favored destination for foreign travelers escaping the heat. During this summer vacation, more than 20 themed events, including music festivals and rural garden fairs, are taking place across the city, drawing visitors from around the world.

Touring the city this summer, Max Slonim, an American tourist, was impressed by the cool and comfortable weather. “Whenever you go to scenic and beautiful places, you can really experience nature and the peaceful atmosphere without huge crowds and long queues,” he said.

The broader momentum behind “China Travel” continues to build. During the first half of 2026, China recorded more than 22.91 million inbound visits, up 20.4% year on year. Traditional summer destinations such as Yunnan, Guizhou and Hunan provinces have topped international travelers’ summer wishlists.

Booming China Travel

In Zhangjiajie, a tourist city in central China’s Hunan Province known worldwide for its dreamlike landscape, the peak season for inbound visitors has arrived. Tourists from Europe, Southeast Asia and beyond venture into its UNESCO-listed sandstone mountains, where cool breezes and lush forests offer a natural retreat.

Benefiting from China’s 240-hour visa-free transit policy, the city has opened over 10 passenger air routes linking eight countries and regions. Fast-track immigration procedures and entry to major attractions with just a passport have made traveling in the city more seamless than ever for international visitors.

Since the beginning of July, family summer trips to the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Scenic Area have surged, with daily visits approaching 10,000 and inbound tourists accounting for over 50% of the total.

China’s cooler coastal destinations are also seeing rising popularity. Qinhuangdao, a seaside city in north China’s Hebei Province, has introduced a diverse lineup of summer activities, including sailing, speedboat rides, intangible cultural heritage performances and immersive VR experiences at the Great Wall Museum.

The city received 43,000 inbound visits during the first half of this year, up 50% year on year, while the average stay of overseas tourists doubled from seven days to fifteen.

The trend is especially noticeable among European travelers. European countries account for nearly 30% of China’s top 20 inbound source markets for this summer. Travel bookings have surged 275% year on year, while attraction ticket orders have increased by 20 times. Visitors from Britain, France and Germany alone account for nearly 42% of all European arrivals.

Why China?

Behind the tourism boom is China’s steadily expanding visa facilitation policy. China currently offers unilateral visa-free entry to nationals of 50 countries and has signed mutual visa exemption agreements with 29 countries. Meanwhile, nationals from 55 countries can now utilize the 240-hour visa-free transit program to enter China via 65 designated ports.

International accessibility has also improved significantly. Direct flights now connect overseas destinations with 160 Chinese cities, while more than three-quarters of inbound travelers now enter the country visa-free.

Meanwhile, travel services have become increasingly foreigner-friendly. Multilingual ticketing machines, AI-powered translation devices and customer support in English, French, Spanish and other languages are now widely available at tourist attractions and on major travel platforms.

Yet one detail repeatedly highlighted by foreign visitors is surprisingly simple: air conditioning. From airports and subway stations to shopping malls, hotels and tourist attractions, reliable cooling has become an essential part of China’s summer travel experience, supported by one of the world’s largest and most reliable power systems.

Across social media, videos of foreign travelers sharing their summer adventures in China have become windows through which global audiences are rediscovering the country. Increasingly, visitors are venturing beyond Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen to explore ancient towns, mountain villages and lesser-known cities. What they are finding is more than just a cool place to escape the summer heat – they are discovering a China that is increasingly accessible, welcoming and vibrant.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

SHENZHEN, China, July 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The climate-trade nexus has become a defining challenge for the Asia-Pacific region — a topic that drew nearly 100 scholars, policymakers, and industry representatives to the Carbon Economics Salon Series in Shenzhen on June 16, just weeks ahead of the APEC Forestry Ministerial Meeting (July 27-28), where the green transition is expected to take center stage.

Themed “Breaking through Green Barriers: Carbon Economy Governance and the Reshaping of International Trade Rules,” the salon was co-hosted by Peking University HSBC Business School (PHBS) and the Institute of Carbon Neutrality at Peking University (ICN-PKU). Discussions centered on three interconnected challenges: unilateral climate-related trade measures, uneven carbon market development, and the emerging role of AI in carbon governance — topics that also foreshadowed key themes on the APEC agenda in November.

In opening remarks, Piao Shilong, vice president of PKU and dean of ICN-PKU, and Hai Wen, vice chair of the PKU Council and founding dean of PHBS, underscored the urgency of building an inclusive global carbon governance system. Wang Pengfei, Boya Distinguished Professor at PKU and dean of PHBS, called for stronger carbon pricing mechanisms and market-based tools.

The keynote session featured Thomas J. Sargent, the 2011 Nobel laureate in economics and honorary director of the PHBS Sargent Institute of Quantitative Economics and Finance, who noted that uncertainty should encourage earlier investment in green R&D, emissions reduction, and forest conservation. Jiang Kejun, professor and head of the Thrust of Carbon Neutrality and Climate Change at HKUST (Guangzhou), identified 2030–2035 as a critical window for China’s energy transition, driven by rapid growth in renewables and electric vehicles. Wu Dengsheng, professor at Shenzhen University, presented a review of carbon economics research, showing that China ranks second worldwide in publications.

Two roundtable sessions examined the spread of unilateral climate measures and their implications for global trade equity, as well as carbon market cooperation with the Global South. Zhang Haibin, Boya Distinguished Professor at PKU and vice dean of ICN-PKU, delivered closing remarks, reaffirming the importance of continued dialogue across disciplines.

The salon highlighted that carbon governance is increasingly shaped by trade rules, technology, and international coordination. It opened space for continued exchange between PHBS and ICN-PKU on global climate governance and China’s “dual carbon” goals — topics that are expected to feature as APEC economies deepen their climate cooperation.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

SEOUL, South Korea, July 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Seegene Inc., a global molecular diagnostics company, announced a comprehensive syndromic PCR-based testing approach for reproductive tract infections (RTIs) through the simultaneous detection of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and human papillomavirus (HPV).

The announcement follows Seegene’s launch of the Global Million Clinical Study (GMCS) on July 8. The initiative aims to generate scientific evidence for Global New Standard of PCR testing by accumulating real-world clinical data from healthcare institutions worldwide and evaluating the clinical utility of disease-specific diagnostic testing strategies.

HPV is widely recognized as the primary cause of cervical cancer, and certain high-risk genotypes, particularly HPV-16 and HPV-18, are closely associated with disease progression. Because screening and follow-up strategies may vary depending on the HPV genotype detected, identifying not only the presence of HPV but also the genotype provides important clinical information for patient management.

STIs are caused by a variety of pathogens, including Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae. They may present with a broad range of symptoms, including abnormal discharge, dysuria, genital pain or itching, dyspareunia, lower abdominal pain, genital ulcers, vesicles or warts, and infertility. Because different pathogens often cause similar clinical symptoms, identifying the causative pathogen with symptoms alone may be difficult. In addition, asymptomatic infections are common and may contribute to unrecognized transmission.

Recent studies have suggested that STIs and vaginal dysbiosis may be associated with changes in the local inflammatory, immune, and microbial environment of the cervix, potentially influencing HPV acquisition, persistence, or clearance. This growing body of evidence underscores the importance of interpreting HPV and STI findings within the broader clinical context – including the patient’s age, symptoms, sexual history and exposure risk, pregnancy plan, prior infection history and the specific organism detected. Together, these findings provide a scientific rationale for further evaluating a comprehensive HPV and STI testing approach that assesses HPV risk alongside concurrent sexually transmitted and reproductive tract infections.

Using STAgora™, Seegene’s real-time test data analytics and statistical platform, the company internally analyzed approximately 60,000 HPV & STI co-testing results generated over a 42-month period. The analysis showed that STI pathogens were detected in 82% of HPV-positive cases, while HPV was detected in 46% of STI-positive cases. In addition, co-detection of HPV and STI pathogens was observed in 71% of positive cases identified through comprehensive HPV & STI testing.

These findings demonstrate the potential application of concurrent STI testing with HPV screening. The promising applications may include identifying asymptomatic STIs, assessing co-infections in HPV-positive individuals, and supporting reproductive health evaluations during pregnancy planning or infertility assessment.

Through GMCS, Seegene plans to continue accumulating clinical evidence on comprehensive HPV & STI testing and to statistically evaluate its clinical utility and applicability using STAgora™.

The company will also present the significance and future direction of its comprehensive PCR testing approach at the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (ADLM 2026), to be held from July 28 to July 30 in Anaheim, California.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

LIMBURGERHOF, Germany, July 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — BASF Agricultural Solutions has begun the registration process for Replexor™ Active (fendioxypyracil), a novel herbicide active ingredient from its protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO) innovation pipeline with broad-spectrum activity on both broadleaf weeds and grasses. At peak adoption, Replexor Active could support weed management programs covering more than 50 million hectares globally. First regulatory dossiers are being submitted in Brazil and Australia in July 2026, with filings in the United States and Argentina planned for 2027. Pending approvals, BASF targets first market introductions of Replexor Active around 2030.

Herbicide-resistant weeds are a growing challenge for farmers of major crops such as soybean, corn, and cotton. At the same time, regulatory pressure is reducing the number of available active ingredients, further limiting effective control options.

In this context, PPO herbicides have been a reliable cornerstone of resistance management for more than 50 years. With Replexor Active, BASF extends that portfolio – which includes Kixor® Active and Tirexor® Active – with a new level of weed control. While most existing PPO herbicides primarily target broadleaf weeds, Replexor Active also controls key annual grasses such as Eleusine indica, Echinochloa spp., and Setaria spp. With PPO resistance in grasses remaining rare, Replexor Active adds a valuable new option for managing resistant grass weeds.

“Replexor Active fills a genuine gap in the PPO space,” said Maximilian Becker, Member of the Management Board of BASF Agricultural Solutions, in charge of Business. “Growers have had very few new tools for resistant grasses in recent years. Replexor Active addresses that directly and fits into the resistance management programs growers are already building with our PPO portfolio.”

In addition to its broad-spectrum activity, Replexor Active offers compelling benefits: it delivers fast-acting weed control and enables no-till farming practices, helping to minimize soil erosion. Furthermore, it is effective at low use rates, making it easier to handle while reducing the amount of active ingredient per hectare.

“The start of Replexor Active’s registration process is another sign of our strong innovation pipeline,” added Melanie Bausen-Wiens Member of the Management Board of BASF Agricultural Solutions, in charge of Technology. “It reflects our position as a leading player in crop protection and our ability to translate sustained R&D investment into new tools that address real challenges for growers. And with the PPO herbicide-tolerant traits we are developing, growers will have even more flexibility in how and when they apply Replexor Active.”

About BASF Agricultural Solutions

Everything we do, we do for the love of farming. Farming is fundamental to provide sufficient and affordable food for a rapidly growing population, while reducing environmental impacts.
Europe’s Rising Temperatures Make PV Safety More Critical Than Ever

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

YIWU, China, July 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Europe is experiencing increasingly frequent and intense heatwaves. From Southern Europe to Central Europe, record-breaking temperatures are posing new challenges for energy infrastructure. As photovoltaic installations continue to expand across the continent, solar systems are increasingly being tested by more extreme climate conditions.

For years, PV innovation has focused primarily on efficiency and cost reduction. But as operating environments become more demanding, safety is emerging as another critical measure of module performance.

AIKO ABC brings PV safety into sharper focus

Against this backdrop, AIKO’s ABC (All Back Contact) modules are gaining attention not only for their high efficiency and aesthetics, but also for their exceptional safety performance.

AIKO ABC modules are the world’s first PV modules to receive TÜV Rheinland’s “PV Module Anti-Ignition Hazard” certification. Under TÜV Rheinland’s enhanced testing conditions, ABC modules recorded hot spot temperatures more than 35% lower than traditional modules, demonstrating their enhanced ability to reduce thermal risks associated with localized overheating.

Beyond this certification, ABC technology is designed to effectively limit hot spot temperatures to below 100°C under relevant operating conditions, helping reduce excessive thermal stress and mitigate potential ignition risks. This advantage has also been demonstrated in comparative shading tests, where ABC modules recorded significantly lower hot spot temperatures than traditional modules under both single-cell shading and large-area shading conditions.

But what enables ABC modules to achieve such strong thermal safety performance?

Why can ABC technology better suppress hot spots?

Hot spots can occur when partial shading, micro-cracks or other internal defects disrupt normal current flow within a PV module.

When part of a cell is shaded, its ability to generate current decreases. Because cells within a module are electrically interconnected, the affected area may be driven into reverse bias, causing electrical energy to dissipate locally as heat. If this localized heating continues, temperatures can rise rapidly, accelerating material degradation and, in severe cases, resulting in fire hazards.

AIKO ABC technology addresses these risks through two key design advantages.

Cell-level bypass diode-like function helps suppress localized overheating

AIKO ABC cells feature a unique cell-level bypass diode-like function designed to improve current flow under partial shading conditions.

When part of a cell is shaded, the architecture provides alternative current pathways that help redistribute current around the affected area, rather than allowing electrical stress and power dissipation to become highly concentrated in one location.

By reducing localized power dissipation, the design helps suppress excessive hot spot temperature rise and improve thermal safety under partial shading conditions.

This difference in thermal behavior was also illustrated in a live demonstration at Intersolar Europe 2026. Under the same lighting and shading conditions, ABC and traditional modules were compared side by side, offering a direct visual indication of how the two technologies respond to partial shading.

Copper interconnection technology reduces hot spot risks associated with micro-cracks

AIKO’s copper interconnection technology also significantly reduces the risk of hot spots associated with micro-cracks. Unlike conventional silver-paste metallization, which typically contains glass frit, AIKO ABC cells use pure copper grids bonded to the silicon wafer.

This robust copper-based structure significantly enhances cell toughness and mechanical strength, improving resistance to micro-cracks and reducing the associated risk of hot spot formation.

Protection extends beyond internally generated hot spots

PV fire safety is not only about preventing overheating from within the module. Solar installations may also be exposed to external fire sources, making flame resistance another important dimension of module safety.

Under IEC fire resistance testing, in which modules are exposed to a 760°C flame for 10 minutes, AIKO ABC dual-glass modules achieved the highest Class A fire resistance rating, while traditional modules were rated Class C, highlighting the difference in flame resistance and fire propagation performance between the two technologies.

Toward a safer and more resilient solar future

As Europe accelerates its renewable energy transition, efficiency alone is no longer enough. Thermal safety, fire resistance and long-term reliability are becoming increasingly important considerations in the evaluation of next-generation PV technologies.

Against this evolving backdrop, AIKO ABC technology represents a broader step toward solar solutions that can deliver both high performance and greater safety, supporting the development of a more resilient and sustainable energy future.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

Rocky robots automate container unloading, sorting, and palletizing in one continuous workflow.

KREFELD, Germany, July 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — XYZ Robotics, a global leader and pioneer in the field of mobile manipulation robots, announces the launch of its automation solution for goods receiving at the BAUHAUS central warehouse in Krefeld. The system, based on the RockyOne and RockyOne SE robots, automates the entire process from shipping container to shelf-ready pallet, improves operational consistency, and frees up the team so they can focus on more fulfilling tasks.

Solving Real-World Logistics Complexity

BAUHAUS is a leading home improvement retailer in Europe, operating more than 290 specialty centers across 19 countries. Its Krefeld center handles thousands of inbound shipments daily across over 10,000 SKUs. Cartons vary widely in shape, weight, and stacking, long beyond the reach of conventional automation.

XYZ Robotics addresses this with an end-to-end system. RockyOne autonomously enters shipping containers to unload loose cartons of varied sizes and orientations. As cartons come through, a barcode scanning system identifies each one for real-time sorting. RockyOne SE then builds pallets to customer-defined patterns, creating stable, storage-ready output.

Optimized Workflows Boost Efficiency in Warehouse Operations

Manual container unloading involves repetitive lifting in confined spaces and harsh temperatures, which contributes to high turnover and injury risk. With Rocky robots, operators shift from heavy manual work to supervising the system through a tablet interface. Daily operation is simple and requires minimal training.

“Since going live, the system has run reliably around the clock without manual intervention. Our team can now focus on higher-value work,” said Torsten Winter, Vice President Operations (Warehousing & Transport) at BAHAG / BAUHAUS AG. “We are already exploring where else to apply this across our network. With XYZ Robotics, we have a reliable and forward-thinking partner by our side, closely supporting us on this journey.”

Following the Krefeld deployment, XYZ Robotics is expanding its European footprint to serve more warehouse and distribution operators, with local teams providing full lifecycle support.

About XYZ Robotics

XYZ Robotics develops mobile manipulation robots (MMR) that pioneer automation in truck loading, unloading, and case picking. Founded in 2018, XYZ Robotics serves industry-leading customers worldwide, with branches in Germany, the United States, China, Japan, and South Korea.

BAUHAUS – The Specialist for Workshops, Homes, and Gardens

As early as 1960, BAUHAUS introduced a new concept to Germany: self-service brand-name products from a wide variety of specialty categories, all offered under one roof. Based on this successful concept, more than 160 specialty centers have been established in Germany. Across Europe, BAUHAUS has over 290 locations in 19 countries. Each specialty center is divided into 15 departments. BAUHAUS has remained true to its core concept—specialty-store quality and product variety at the best prices—to this day and has continuously refined it.

Highstar Launches Full-Chain Battery Cell Portfolio for AI Data Centers

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

NANTONG, China, July 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Highstar unveiled its full-chain battery cell solution for artificial intelligence data centers (AIDCs) at the 2026 GGII Energy Storage Industry Summit. The portfolio spans three critical power layers: grey-space UPS and high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems, white-space battery backup units (BBUs), and grid-side energy storage.

Targeted cells for grey-space and white-space challenges

As AI workloads increase rack density and load volatility, data centers require faster response, dependable backup, controlled temperature rise and stronger lifecycle performance. Highstar’s solution centers on two products for the layers closest to computing loads.

For grey space, the 85Ah high-rate lithium iron phosphate cell is designed for UPS and HVDC systems that must deliver high power rapidly and sustain reliable backup under frequent pulse conditions. High-rate discharge, thermal control, safety and durability support compact system design while helping operators balance availability with lifecycle cost. In addition, the 50Ah sodium-ion battery cells are better suited for operation across a wide temperature range of -40°C to 80°C.

For white-space BBUs, Highstar offers a portfolio of tabless cylindrical cells spanning 18650 and 21700 formats, with both LFP and high-nickel NMC chemistries. Designed for BBU applications, these cells deliver high instantaneous power, low internal resistance, reduced temperature rise and enhanced safety, while accommodating different rack-space, power and cost requirements.

Completing the chain with grid-side storage

The grid-side system uses 314Ah lithium-ion cells and 160Ah sodium-ion cells, balancing long-duration energy storage, cycle life, and rapid power support. Together, the three layers create a coordinated portfolio extending from rack-level protection and system-level backup to upstream energy storage.

The portfolio combines lithium-ion and sodium-ion chemistries with prismatic and cylindrical platforms. Highstar’s technology integrates cathode, anode, electrolyte and separator development with structural approaches including tabless current collection, precision pressure relief and directional venting.

From individual cells to application collaboration

The full-chain architecture is designed to reduce selection and integration complexity for power equipment suppliers, system integrators and data center operators. It also provides a common foundation for joint validation and application-specific development across AIDC power architectures.

During the summit, Highstar also participated in the launch of the “2026 Global AIDC Power Supply Industry Development Blue Book” and was honored as a “Top Benchmark in AIDC Energy Storage,” earning authoritative recognition from the industry.
