L’essiccazione a spruzzo trasforma le formulazioni liquide in polveri secche in un unico passaggio, consentendo agli sviluppatori di farmaci di migliorare la biodisponibilità, ottenere dimensioni delle particelle precise ed elaborare composti sensibili in modo sicuro. Questa tecnica è particolarmente cruciale per i peptidi, che sono instabili ad alte temperature e spesso richiedono un rigoroso controllo delle proprietà delle particelle. SAN GIULIANO – Mettere in sicurezza le aree devastate dalla fiamme che tra il 28 aprile e il 2 maggio hanno divorato ettari di bosco tra Lucca e Pisa, nei due versanti del Monte Faeta, con l’impegno rivolto alla prevenzione. È il cuore del progetto messo a punto dalla Regione e illustrato el doppio appuntamento a Lucca e a San Giuliano Terme, dove si sono svolte le due assemblee pubbliche organizzate dai rispettivi Comuni. Per la Regione sono intervenuti il presidente, Eugenio Giani e l’assessore regionale all’agricoltura e alla forestazione, Leonardo Marras. Per il Comune di Lucca il sindaco, Mario Pardini e il vice sindaco, Fabio Barsanti; per il Comune di San Giuliano Terme il sindaco Matteo Cecchelli.

Il presidente Eugenio Giani, in una mattinata segnata dalla scossa di terremoto con epicentro nel pisano e dalla necessità di recarsi a incontrare il sindaco Michele Conti per fare il punto sulla situazione, è presente a San Giuliano Terme, dove interviene ricordando le due occasioni di intervento post incendio a Lucca e a San Giuliano Terme: “Sono stati molto importanti, anche dopo l’evento calamitoso del Monte Faeta, la mobilitazione e il coordinamento a fra Comuni, Regione, livelli dello Stato coinvolti: oggi l’assessore Marras porta 400mila euro di primo intervento che attraverso il sistema di salvaguardia possono dare il segno della volontà di ricostruire un tessuto arboreo di straordinario valore”.

Il presidente cita l’esempio del laghetto realizzato nel territorio di San Giuliano, che facilitò l’intervento degli elicotteri la notte dell’incendio, per mettere in evidenza “l’importanza delle opere di prevenzione da parte del settore dell’anticendio boschivo; l’intervento di salvaguardia presentato oggi va nel senso dell’attenzione nella regione con più superficie boschiva in Italia. Voglio complimentarmi con il Servizio anticendio della Regione, che dipende dall’assessorato all’agricoltura, perchè è straordinariamente operativo ed efficiente. Grazie a tutti, volontari, operatori e tutti quanti si prodigarono quella notte”. Un ringraziamento anche ad Antonio Mazzeo, vicepresidente del Consiglio regionale presente nella sala consiliare di San Giuliano: il Consiglio infatti ha destinato risorse del proprio bilancio per la opere di forestazione. Presenti a San Giuliano anche gli assessori regionali Alessandra Nardini e Alberto Lenzi.

L’assessore regionale all’agricoltura e alla forestazione, Leonardo Marras è intervenuto a entrambi gli appuntamenti: “Dopo aver affrontato l’emergenza – ha dichiarato – con un imponente sforzo del sistema regionale antincendi boschivi, oggi siamo qui a presentare la fase della ricostruzione e della prevenzione. Con un investimento di quasi 400 mila euro la Regione Toscana interviene rapidamente per mettere in sicurezza i versanti colpiti dall’incendio del Monte Faeta, ridurre il rischio idrogeologico e proteggere cittadini, abitazioni e infrastrutture. La tutela del bosco non si esaurisce nello spegnimento delle fiamme: significa accompagnare il territorio anche dopo l’incendio, con interventi concreti e mirati che rafforzano la resilienza dei nostri ecosistemi e rendono più efficace la prevenzione degli incendi futuri. È questo il modo in cui intendiamo esercitare il nostro ruolo: essere presenti, collaborare con gli enti locali e trasformare un evento drammatico in un’occasione per rendere il territorio più sicuro e più forte“.

Ad illustrare le opere previste in ciascun versante sono stati i tecnici del Settore Forestazione della Regione Toscana.

Lucca

A Lucca gli interventi del progetto di fattibilità riguarderanno principalmente la sistemazione e consolidamento del versante sopra le abitazioni di via dei Marinari a Santa Maria del Giudice, per prevenire e contenere le conseguenze idrogeologiche determinate dalle piogge autunnali; il ripristino di vari chilometri di strade forestali e sentieri per raggiungere più velocemente le zone interne e più impervie del monte; la realizzazione di viali parafuoco per contenere eventuali incendi futuri. Sarà inoltre ripristinato un invaso artificiale antincendio boschivo per conservare una riserva d’acqua da utilizzare in caso di emergenza.

All’assemblea che si è tenuta a San Concordio, dopo il saluto del sindaco Mario Pardini, il vicesindaco con delega alla protezione civile Fabio Barsanti è entrato nel merito del progetto: “Gli interventi che riguardano il territorio di Lucca, dove l’incendio ha distrutto ben 406 ettari di superficie, sono concentrati in tre zone: sopra l’area abitata di via dei Marinari a Santa Maria del Giudice verrà sistemato il versante dove durante l’emergenza era stata realizzata una linea tagliafuoco con una macchina per movimentare la terra, sarà inoltre ripristinata la strada forestale locale per 340 metri. Nella vallata più a ovest di via di San Pantaleone saranno ripristinate la strada forestale Molinaccio – Eremo di San Pantaleone per una lunghezza di 1500 metri e la strada Eremo San Pantaleone – La Spadina di 545 metri. Sarà inoltre realizzato un viale parafuoco Passo Conserva – Strada Vicinale di Pianettori per una lunghezza di circa 3,5 km. Infine nella zona del crinale fra i monti Castagno e Faeta sarà realizzato un viale parafuoco Zona Castagno – Passo della Conserva di quasi 4 chilometri; sarà ripristinato l’invaso artificiale dell’antincendio boschivo e la relativa strada forestale di accesso al Passo della Conserva e sarà risistemato il vicino sentiero Cai numero 100 che unisce l’invaso artificiale Passo della Conserva – Monte Faeta per 850 metri”.

San Giuliano Terme

Nella sala consiliare del Comune è stato fatto il punto sugli interventi del progetto di fattibilità che si concentreranno in tre aree. Sul Monte Castellare sarà realizzato un numero consistente di graticciate con materiale di risulta per regolare il deflusso delle acque superficiali e nell’area del Sugherone verranno ripristinate le due importanti strade forestali che collegano lo stesso Sugherone con la località “Le Fontanelle” attraverso il Passo del Castagno.

Gli interventi più consistenti sono nella frazione zona di Ragnaia, la località del lato pisano del Faeta più colpita dall’incendio: qui saranno sistemate le graticciate e realizzato un ampio intervento di selvicoltura per ripristinare la fascia di vegetazione a prevalenza di sughere che circonda il perimetro degli oliveti. Prevista anche la realizzazione di una fascia di protezione lungo via della Ragnaia, con taglio delle piante e interventi di decespugliamento e il ripristino del sentiero Cai 117 che da Fontanelle conduce a Mirteto. Sempre ad Asciano i lavori previsti sono stati preceduti da alcuni interventi propedeutici, anch’essi finanziati dall’amministrazione regionale, riferiti alla realizzazione, nei dintorni della via di Valle, di piccole briglie in legno all’altezza dei vallini percorsi dai ruscelli che scendono dal Faeta, e di una cosiddetta “vasca di calma”, un piccolo bacino artificiale che, abbinato a una briglia di sassi, ha la funzione di smorzare ulteriore la velocità della discesa dell’acqua e di altri materiali solidi verso valle.

Il sindaco di San Giuliano Terme Matteo Cecchelli ha dichiarato: “Quelli previsti nel progetto di fattibilità sono interventi importantissimi per la salvaguardia dei ‘nostri’ versanti del Monte Faeta duramente colpiti dall’incendio di tre mesi fa: per questo siamo grati alla Regione Toscana, al presidente Giani e all’assessore Marras, per questo programma d’interventi, che partirà a breve, come per i lavori propedeutici già effettuati, sempre attingendo a risorse regionali. For more than five decades, breakthrough artists and legends have taken the stage at Hard Rock Cafes. Coca‑Cola has built a global platform for musicians through Coke Studio L.A. Live. Now, the two brands are joining forces to help singer‑songwriters, bands and DJs launch their careers. 

Hard Rock Rising unfolds as a series of performances at participating Cafes. Local fan votes advance artists round by round. The Coke Studio team then selects one grand prize winner who earns a recording session, $10,000, a performance at Hard Rock Orlando and more. 

Artist submissions are open now through August 18, with live competition rounds running September 2, 9, 16 and 23. The global winner will be announced October 5.

ABU DHABI, UAE, Aug. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Agthia Group PJSC (AGTHIA: UH), one of the region’s leading food and beverage companies, today reported its first-half and second-quarter of 2026 results, reflecting the growing impact of its multi-year transformation, with stronger cash generation, a materially healthier balance sheet, and a 14.4% increase in the interim dividend. 

The Group’s transformation gathered pace in H1 2026, as Agthia advanced its portfolio reset while navigating external challenges and cost pressures. For the first half, Group Revenue increased 7.4% year-on-year to AED 2.6 billion, underpinned by one-off sales under the UAE food security program. EBITDA climbed 35.8% to AED 310.5 million, with EBITDA Margin expanding 250 basis points to 11.9%, while Net Profit reached AED 121.4 million, up 147.4% year-over-year. For the second quarter, Group revenue increased 11.9% year-on-year to AED 1.3 billion. EBITDA increased 172.5% to AED 117.2 million, with margin expanding 542 basis points to 9.2%, while Net Profit reached AED 24.5 million. 

Free cash flow turned strongly positive at AED 521.4 million, from an outflow a year earlier, and the Group cut its net debt-to-EBITDA to 1.8x from 2.9x in December 2025. Agthia closed the first half of 2026 with AED 869.6 million in cash. Group Total Assets continue to grow, reaching AED 6.5 billion as of 30 June 2026. 

Across the Group, strong growth in core businesses was complemented by continued progress in selected transformation initiatives. Water and Food led the way, with revenue up 38.9% in the second quarter, as Al Ain, Agthia’s first billion-dirham brand, extended its lead in bottled water and gained 2.0 percentage points of value market share versus the same period last year. Protein and Frozen advanced 22.0% in the second quarter, led by Nabil at 32.5% and supported by gradual improvement in Atyab, up 8.1% year-on-year, and the ramp-up of the Group’s Saudi protein facility. Agri-Business rose 11.0% on strong feed demand, with Agrivita feed sales up 23.3%. During the quarter, Snacking remained focused on transforming the Al Foah and BMB businesses, laying the foundation for long-term value, while Abu Auf maintained its strong growth trajectory, with revenue rising 23.7% year-over-year in Q2 2026. 

Agthia’s Board of Directors has recommended an interim cash dividend of 11.792 fils per share for the six months ended 30 June 2026, a 14.4% increase year-on-year and a second consecutive period of higher returns following the 10.0% rise recommended for the second half of 2025.

VIENNA, Aug. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Bybit.eu today announced that Bybit Payments GmbH has been granted an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) licence by Austria’s Financial Market Authority (FMA). 

Bybit Payments GmbH will provide regulated e-money and payment services through the Bybit.eu platform. Crypto-asset services on the same platform are provided separately by Bybit EU GmbH, an Austrian crypto-asset service provider authorised under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR) since May 2025. 

To comply with regulatory requirements, the two Austrian entities have distinct regulatory permissions and responsibilities. Bybit EU GmbH holds the MiCAR authorisation for crypto-asset services, while Bybit Payments GmbH holds the EMI licence for electronic money and payment services. Their services will be brought together through the Bybit.eu platform to support a more integrated experience for customers in Europe.

PISA – Forte scossa di terremoto nella mattinata di oggi (4 agosto), avvertita distintamente dalla popolazione in tutta la Toscana settentrionale e lungo la fascia costiera, estendendosi fino alle province di Livorno, Lucca e Massa Carrara.

La terra ha tremato esattamente alle 10,15. Secondo le rilevazioni dell’Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia, il sisma ha fatto registrare una magnitudo locale pari a 4.3, con epicentro individuato a circa 7 chilometri a ovest di Pisa e a una profondità ipocentrale contenuta di appena 8 chilometri. Proprio la ridotta profondità e la vicinanza ai centri abitati hanno reso il movimento tellurico percepibile in modo particolarmente nitido anche nelle province limitrofe.

L’evento ha provocato immediata apprensione tra i cittadini: in pochissimi minuti il centralino del Numero Unico Regionale per le emergenze 112 è stato preso d’assalto da centinaia di chiamate di residenti in cerca di notizie e rassicurazioni. Negli uffici, nelle abitazioni e negli esercizi commerciali del capoluogo pisano e dei comuni vicini molte persone si sono riversate in strada a scopo precauzionale per timore di nuove scosse.

Il sistema di protezione civile regionale e le autorità locali si sono subito attivati per il monitoraggio della situazione. In alcune strutture e stabili della zona sono state avviate evacuazioni temporanee in via precauzionale. Al momento, fortunatamente, le prime verifiche condotte sui territori interessati non segnalano feriti né danni di rilievo ad abitazioni o infrastrutture, mentre proseguono i sopralluoghi dei tecnici delle forze dell’ordine e dei vigili del fuoco.

At this year’s Monaco Yacht Show, that approach will be embodied by two recently delivered projects: Leviathan (111m/364ft) and Draak (93m/305ft) both owned by Gabe Newell, who joined the Oceanco team in July 2025. The attendance will also mark the first time Oceanco has showcased both a new build and a rebuild at the show.

Leviathan and Draak were designed around teamwork and community. A highly collaborative build process across both projects resulted in unconventional layouts and crew-centric design philosophies. Developed to operate seamlessly together, Leviathan and Draak are companion yachts within Gabe Newell’s Inkfish fleet.

Delivered in June 2026 following a comprehensive rebuild by Oceanco’s Life Cycle Support, Draak has been reimagined for an entirely new operational purpose. Alongside Leviathan, she now supports Inkfish expeditions with specialist diving facilities, a capable tender fleet and heavy-duty lifting systems. Many of the same design and operational principles introduced on Leviathan were also adopted on Draak.
