COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

Chicago River Swim presented by the City of Chicago and Mayor Brandon Johnson returns September 18–20 with Olympians, Paralympians, international athletes and civic leaders, including the Lord Mayor of Dublin, joining Chicagoans to celebrate the river’s transformation

CHICAGO, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The Chicago River Swim presented by the City of Chicago and Mayor Brandon Johnson will bring back The Big Jump and expand the 2026 field to 750 qualified swimmers. Registration is now open for both events at ChicagoRiverSwim.org.

The Big Jump will kick off the weekend on Friday, September 18, giving registered members of the public a rare, sanctioned opportunity to enter the river while raising funds for ALS research and youth swim education. Mayor Johnson will serve as master of ceremonies, joined by Olympians and Paralympians from the U.S. and abroad, including Dutch Olympic gold medalist Maarten van der Weijden and Czech ice-swimming world champion Max Munson, along with international civic leaders including Lord Mayor of Dublin Daryl Barron and notable Chicagoans including Chicago Bears legend Charles Tillman and GRAMMY Award-winning producer and DJ White Shadow.

“The Chicago River belongs to all of Chicago, and The Big Jump is a powerful way to celebrate how far our city has come,” said Mayor Brandon Johnson. “For generations, Chicagoans have worked to restore this river and reconnect our communities to it. This September, people from across our city and around the world will have the opportunity to experience the river in a whole new way, while supporting ALS research and making sure more young people have access to lifesaving swim and water-safety education.”

The Big Jump revives an event first held in 2017, when Cook County Commissioner Josina Morita and Friends of the Chicago River brought public officials together in Chinatown for a sanctioned jump into the river. The event celebrated progress in restoring the river and demonstrated a shared commitment to making the Chicago-Calumet River system safely swimmable and accessible to all.

The Chicago River Swim presented by the City of Chicago and Mayor Brandon Johnson is a charitable open-water event held along the main stem of the Chicago River. Launched in 2025, the inaugural event brought 263 swimmers into the river for Chicago’s first organized open-water swim in 98 years and attracted international attention to the city’s transformed waterway.

“Last year proved that swimming could return to the Chicago River and become something meaningful for the entire city,” said Doug McConnell, founder of A Long Swim and the Chicago River Swim. “This year, we are creating more ways for people to be part of that experience, from opening The Big Jump to the public to welcoming more swimmers. Every participant will help us raise critical funds for ALS research and bring lifesaving swim education to more Chicago children.”

This year’s Chicago River Swim will take place Sunday, September 20. The City of Chicago has expanded the field from 500 to 750 qualified swimmers, reopening registration for a limited number of participants in the one- and two-mile events.

The expanded weekend reflects decades of investment, advocacy, research and collaboration that have improved water quality and transformed the Chicago River into one of the city’s most important recreational and civic assets. That progress has been advanced by the City of Chicago, the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, Friends of the Chicago River, Current, Shedd Aquarium, the Chicago Park District and many other public, nonprofit and community partners. Water quality will be closely monitored leading up to and throughout the weekend, including testing conducted by water-quality experts at the University of Illinois Chicago.

INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPATIONOlympians, Paralympians, accomplished swimmers and civic leaders from Chicago, across the United States and around the world will come together for Swim Weekend, with athletes and civic leaders traveling from the Netherlands, Mexico, the Czech Republic and Ireland. Their participation reflects a shared commitment to the lifesaving importance of learning to swim and global solidarity around protecting, restoring and reconnecting people with rivers and urban waterways.

U.S. Olympic silver medalist Maritza Correia McClendon will participate in both events on behalf of the USA Swimming Foundation. The first Black American woman to make a U.S. Olympic swim team, she will highlight the Foundation’s partnership with the Chicago River Swim and their shared commitment to expanding access to lifesaving swim lessons and water-safety education.

“The Chicago River Swim is more than an unforgettable experience through one of our nation’s most iconic waterways; it’s an opportunity to create lasting impact,” said Correia McClendon. “I’m proud to support its partnership with the USA Swimming Foundation, helping more children and families across Chicago gain lifesaving skills that can last a lifetime.”

Three-time U.S. Olympian and Olympic gold medalist Blake Pieroni will compete in Sunday’s one-mile Swim. A native of Chesterton, Indiana, Pieroni won Olympic gold as a member of both the 2016 and 2020 U.S. 4×100-meter freestyle relay teams.

Dutch Olympic gold medalist Maarten van der Weijden will travel from the Netherlands to represent his country and will participate in The Big Jump on Friday. A leukemia survivor who won Olympic gold in open-water swimming, he has since used extraordinary endurance swims to raise millions for cancer research. Chicago’s connection to European urban swimming extends beyond this year’s participants. Swim founder Doug McConnell was inspired by Amsterdam’s relationship with its waterways and the success of the Amsterdam City Swim, which demonstrated how an urban waterway could become the centerpiece of a world-class community event. McConnell often credits that inspiration as part of his vision for bringing a river swim to Chicago.

Mexican Olympic swimmer Jorge Andrés Iga César will represent Mexico in The Big Jump on Friday. Iga César competed at the 2024 Paris Games and holds Mexico’s national record in the 200-meter freestyle. He has earned four Pan American Games medals, including silver, and 19 medals at the Central American and Caribbean Games.

Two-time U.S. Paralympian and Tokyo silver medalist Ahalya Lettenberger will participate in The Big Jump and will compete in the one-mile Swim. Born in Chicago, Lettenberger began swimming at age 11 and went on to represent the United States at the Tokyo and Paris Paralympic Games.

Paralympic silver medalist Grace Nuhfer will participate in The Big Jump on Friday. The Indiana native won silver at the 2024 Paris Games in the S13 100-meter butterfly before becoming world champion in the event in 2025. She also earned two World Championships bronze medals in freestyle.

Current ice-swimming world champion Max Munson will participate in The Big Jump on Friday and compete in the one-mile Swim. Munson will join the weekend from Prague, Czech Republic. An accomplished pool, open-water and winter swimmer, he is the reigning age-group ice-swimming world champion in the 50-meter and 100-meter freestyle and has set multiple Czech freestyle records.

The weekend will also welcome international civic leadership, including Lord Mayor of Dublin Daryl Barron, who will travel to Chicago to attend the Chicago River Swim. Elected officials, celebrities, civic leaders and other special guests will also participate, with additional names to be announced.

“Dublin and Chicago have a strong historical and cultural connection, and I am delighted to be in Chicago to experience the Chicago River Swim,” said Lord Mayor of Dublin Daryl Barron. “In Dublin, our annual Dublin City Liffey Swim brings approximately 300 swimmers through the heart of the city in a unique challenge. Rivers are an important part of the life of a city, and both Chicago and Dublin are leading the way in showcasing them as important civic assets to be used and enjoyed by the people of our cities. I look forward to experiencing the Chicago River Swim and bringing some learnings back to Dublin.”

HOW TO JOIN THE BIG JUMPA limited number of spots will be available to the public for The Big Jump. The cost to participate is $500 per jumper, with proceeds supporting ALS research and youth swim education. Participants who raise $1,000 or more may bring one guest to the event; guests will not participate in the jump.

Participants will enter the river in small groups throughout the morning. Each registered jumper will receive a personal swim buoy, robe, commemorative T-shirt, lunch, and a goodie bag. Registration is available at chicagoriverswim.org.

HOW TO JOIN THE CHICAGO RIVER SWIMThe Swim is open to qualified swimmers participating in either the one- or two-mile event. With the field expanded to 750 swimmers, a limited number of additional spots are now available. Qualified swimmers interested in participating can review the requirements and apply at chicagoriverswim.org.

ABC7 CHICAGO LIVESTREAMABC7 Chicago will stream the Swim live on Sunday, September 20, from 6:30 to 10:00 a.m. Hosted by Greg Dutra and Jasmine Minor, the broadcast will showcase swimmers participating in one- and two-mile events along the main stem of the Chicago River and feature interviews with athletes, civic leaders and other special guests throughout the morning. Audiences can watch on ABC7Chicago.com, Disney+ under the Live tab by selecting ABC7 Chicago, and ABC7’s Connected TV apps on Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV and Roku.

SWIMMING FOR A PURPOSEChicago River Swim weekend raises funds for ALS research through A Long Swim and supports swim instruction and water safety education for children in underserved Chicago communities. McConnell founded A Long Swim after losing his father and sister to ALS. The organization has since raised more than $3.5 million to advance collaborative ALS research.

The weekend will also create a powerful moment for the ALS community. Through ALS United, A Long Swim connected with Jeff Birkels, who is living with ALS. During Sunday’s Chicago River Swim, swimmer Paul Sommer will pull Birkels on a raft for the entire two-mile course, giving him an extraordinary opportunity to experience the river alongside the swimmers supporting the fight against the disease.

ABOUT THE CHICAGO RIVER SWIM PRESENTED BY THE CITY OF CHICAGO AND MAYOR BRANDON JOHNSONThe Chicago River Swim presented by the City of Chicago and Mayor Brandon Johnson is a charitable open-water event that brings together swimmers, advocates, civic leaders, environmental partners, and community members to celebrate the Chicago River and its extraordinary transformation. The City of Chicago and Mayor Brandon Johnson are serving as Presenting Partner, reflecting the City’s leadership in restoring the river and expanding safe public access to its waterways. Their support enabled an event of this scale to take place in the center of downtown, reinforcing the river’s transformation and establishing the Chicago River Swim as a growing civic tradition. Launched in 2025, the Swim marked a historic moment as the first organized open-water swim in the Chicago River in 98 years. The event celebrates decades of environmental investment, policy leadership, and community effort that have made the river safe for human contact and renewed public use. Created by A Long Swim, the Chicago River Swim raises critical funds for ALS research and expands access to swim education and water safety for youth in underserved communities, while positioning the Chicago River as a shared civic asset and a symbol of Chicago’s environmental progress.
ABOUT A LONG SWIMA Long Swim is a nonprofit that designs and manages open-water swimming events to raise funds for ALS research. Founded by siblings Doug McConnell and Ellen McConnell Blakeman after their father passed away from ALS, and Ellen was later diagnosed with the disease, the organization has raised more than $3.5 million for ALS research at Ozdinler Lab of Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. Doug, a world-class marathon swimmer, has conquered some of the most challenging waters in the world, including the English Channel, Manhattan Island, the Catalina Channel, and the Molokai Channel, using his skills to raise funds for the fight against ALS.

AION UT Earns Five-Star Rating in 2026 Euro NCAP Assessment

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

AMSTERDAM, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Euro NCAP published the AION UT’s 2026 safety rating on September 2, awarding the electric hatchback five stars. The score applies to all variants and left- and right-hand-drive configurations.

Revised protocol

Euro NCAP introduced revised protocols for 2026, organizing its assessment around four stages of vehicle safety: Safe Driving, Crash Avoidance, Crash Protection and Post-Crash Safety. The framework considers how a vehicle supports the driver before a collision, helps avoid an impact, protects occupants and other road users during an impact, and supports rescue after a collision.

The AION UT scored 66% for Safe Driving, 74% for Crash Avoidance, 91% for Crash Protection and 88% for Post-Crash Safety. Euro NCAP awarded the model five stars based on its overall performance across these four stages.

Detailed results

For Crash Protection, Euro NCAP reported good or adequate protection for all occupants in the frontal offset test. The two child dummies seated in the rear received good protection and maximum points. In the full-width frontal test, protection was good or adequate in most areas. The AION UT achieved full points in the side-pole tests, including the far-side assessment. A center airbag is fitted to help reduce contact between front-seat occupants in a side impact.

The Crash Avoidance assessment covered the vehicle’s autonomous emergency braking and lane-support functions in a range of scenarios involving vehicles, motorcycles, pedestrians and cyclists. Euro NCAP noted that the autonomous emergency braking system performed well in many advanced test scenarios. AION UT comes standard with emergency lane keeping, blind-spot monitoring, reverse autonomous emergency braking and a system designed to help prevent incidents with doors involving cyclists.

Post-crash testing included rescue information, eCall availability and vehicle operation following water submergence. Euro NCAP reported that the side windows could remain electrically operable for more than two minutes after submergence.

Latest chapter in Johnnie Walker x Sabrina Carpenter collaboration celebrates bold creativity through collectible new bottle inspired by the confident, unapologetic vibe of Sabrina’s album, Man’s Best Friend

LONDON, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Johnnie Walker, the world’s No. 1 Scotch whisky
[1]
, unveils a new limited edition Johnnie Walker Black Label bottle design created as part of the brand’s ongoing collaboration with GRAMMY® Award-winning global superstar Sabrina Carpenter.

Featuring details inspired by her new album, Man’s Best Friend, from a bespoke Sabrina blue colourway to playful dog paw motifs, the design blends the timeless character of Johnnie Walker Black Label with Sabrina’s signature style. The bottle marks the latest chapter in Johnnie Walker and Sabrina Carpenter’s multi-year partnership, which brings together two cultural icons connected by a shared belief in progress.

Sabrina Carpenter said: “I adore creating little surprises for my fans, and this felt like such a cool way to bring the world of Man’s Best Friend to life. I love telling stories beyond music, so getting to put my own spin on something as iconic as the Johnnie Walker Black Label bottle was such a fun challenge. I can’t wait for everyone to see all the little details.”

The partnership, announced last August, burst into life with a global campaign celebrating the launch of Man’s Best Friend later that year. Debuting alongside the final leg of Sabrina’s Short n’ Sweet Tour, the campaign introduced fans of legal drinking age to Sabrina’s signature Johnnie Walker serve, the Go Go Highball.

The collectible bottle extends the story of the collaboration, giving fans another way to celebrate while reinforcing the Johnnie Walker connection to music as a platform for creativity, culture and progress.

The limited-edition Johnnie Walker Black Label Sabrina Carpenter bottle will be available in both 70cl and 75cl formats (40% ABV), with a recommended retail price in line with Johnnie Walker Black Label. It is available in Great Britain now before rolling out across additional markets including Mexico, India, selected markets across Europe and Asia Pacific.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

HSINCHU, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Spirox (TWSE: 3055), today hosted the Advanced Packaging Technology Forum, bringing together experts from Corning and DNP to share insights on Glass Core, TGV, reliability, and inspection technologies for next-generation AI and HPC applications.

As AI, HPC, and HBM accelerate advanced packaging development, Glass Core and TGV are emerging as key technologies for next-generation packaging. Odessa Petzold of Corning said, “We are pleased to participate in Spirox’s forum and exchange insights with industry partners on the latest developments and challenges in Glass Core. Spirox’s laser tomography scanning technology represents an innovative approach to non-destructive inspection of glass materials. Its unique optical inspection capabilities can detect defects within glass structures without damaging the material, making it a valuable tool for advanced packaging processes such as TGV, and helping improve processes and accelerate the transition to high-volume manufacturing.”

Satoru Kuramochi of DNP noted, “As AI servers continue to drive demand for high-performance, high-density packaging, reliability and failure analysis will become increasingly important as Glass Core technologies move toward high-volume manufacturing. We are pleased to participate in this forum and share our work on improving the reliability of Glass Core substrates for large AI data server packages. Non-destructive inspection technologies for TGV and glass substrates are expected to play an important role in identifying defects and understanding issues that may occur at different stages of the manufacturing process. Continued advances in inspection and analysis technologies will contribute to improving Glass Core reliability and developing a more comprehensive technology ecosystem.”

The SP7000G can complete a full-panel scan of a 510 mm × 515 mm glass substrate in less than 20 minutes, enabling efficient detection of internal microcracks after metallization and ABF build-up processes. It helps improve inspection efficiency, monitor process quality and defect distribution, and optimize yield.

Paul Yang of Spirox Corporation explained, “TGV is moving toward high-volume manufacturing, making inspection efficiency and quality control critical to production. Designed for high-volume manufacturing, the SP7000G complements Spirox’s SP8000G, providing a comprehensive solution for high-speed, precise, and non-destructive TGV inspection and analysis across R&D, quality control, and high-volume manufacturing. Spirox will continue to strengthen its proprietary inspection technologies and support customers in accelerating high-volume manufacturing of next-generation packaging technologies.”

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

GUANGZHOU, CHINA –
Media OutReach Newswire
– 7 September 2026 – On September 7, Huawei officially unveiled the latest addition to its tri-fold lineup, the HUAWEI Mate XT 2 | ULTIMATE DESIGN. As the first smartphone to feature the LogicFolding Tau (τ) Chip, HUAWEI Mate XT 2 | ULTIMATE DESIGN marks the chip’s official entry into mass commercialization.

The phone debuts with a wing-like tri-fold design, continuously pushing the boundaries of ultimate aesthetics, craftsmanship, and innovation. It is the first device powered by the Kirin 9050 Pro chip and introduces several industry-first features and experiences, including the Xuanwu Ultra-Durable Tri-Fold Architecture, Smart Shield Privacy Screen, True-to-Color Camera 3.0, and the HarmonyOS 7 large-screen experience. As the pioneer of tri-fold phones, this new generation once again redefines the extraordinary.

The new HUAWEI Mate XT 2 | ULTIMATE DESIGN features a wing-like tri-fold design that opens from both sides, offering a more intuitive unfolding experience. The design philosophy draws on Chinese aesthetics, with a cloud pattern on the back panel created using Brocade Cloud craftsmanship. It is available in three colors: Purple, White, and Black. The camera ring inherits the iconic Star Diamond Glow design, crafted from Yttrium Crystal and fired at 1,800°C. Combining gemstone design and cutting techniques, it undergoes eight steps of fine polishing to form 33 star diamond facets, delivering a dazzling gemstone-like luster.

The device features the Xuanwu Ultra-Durable Tri-Fold Architecture, which re-engineers the hinge and screen technology for layered protection from the inside out. It is the first tri-fold phone to support IP58/59 dust and water resistance. The cover screen, made of Xuanwu Kunlun Glass, resists daily scratches and impacts with ease. It also features anti-glare technology, ensuring clear visibility even under direct sunlight. The main screen uses a multi-layer composite ultra-tough structure, including a large UTG glass layer, aerospace-grade ultra-thin high-strength steel, and a carbon fiber support layer, providing robust impact resistance. The Advanced Precision Hinge System 2.0 employs a 5 curved arm structure and a synchronized linkage mechanism for even force distribution and reliable pressure resistance.

The innovative heat dissipation architecture distributes heat sources across three frames, working with ultra-large vapor chambers and highly thermally conductive graphene materials to efficiently conduct heat across axes. Intelligent collaboration of multiple communication systems and 32 distributed antennas ensures faster 5A connectivity. It supports Tiantong satellite communication and Beidou satellite messaging, ensuring connectivity anywhere in the world. The Mobile Security Processor, combined with an independent security chip, enables post-quantum cryptography algorithm detection and has passed EAL5+ CCRC security certification, providing dual protection for personal data and assets.

Ultimate Technology: A Masterpiece of Innovation for Peace of Mind

The industry’s first foldable Smart Shield Privacy Screen is now available, marking the first time hardware-level privacy protection is achieved on a foldable device. It features an independent dual-pixel design, ensuring consistent screen resolution before and after activating Privacy mode, maintaining a clear front-facing view. With intelligent sensing capabilities, it provides smart reminders when entering airports or train stations. It also supports elegant activation of Privacy mode through methods such as double-tapping the cover screen or the Smart controls button.

The HUAWEI Mate XT 2 | ULTIMATE DESIGN is equipped with ECG analysis software and has obtained the NMPA Class II Medical Device Registration Certificate. Users can initiate an ECG measurement by holding the unfolded large screen with both hands. Celia intelligently interprets and analyzes the report, providing thoughtful care.

Ultimate Photography: True-to-Color Camera 3.0, Capturing Every Moment

The HUAWEI Mate XT 2 | ULTIMATE DESIGN undergoes a comprehensive upgrade from optical hardware to computing power. It is the first to feature the True-to-Color Camera 3.0, which effectively filters out infrared light interference, improving color reproduction by 95% compared to the previous generation. It also features an ultra-HDR main camera, ultra-wide aperture periscope telephoto camera, and Ultra-wide angle camera, delivering true-to-life colors, realistic portraits, and clear night shots, with excellent performance at both close and long distances. Video recording supports an ultra-high dynamic range of 18 EV, ensuring outstanding image quality in every frame.

XMAGE SmartCapture has been upgraded to intelligently recognize people, scenery, and food scenes, and supports AIGC real-time previews for clear composition and lighting recommendations. Its unique tri-fold form enables Desk-calendar mode shooting, making it easy to capture warm moments, whether for selfies or group photos.

Ultimate Experience: A Superior Large-Screen Experience

HUAWEI Mate XT 2 | ULTIMATE DESIGN is powered by the new HarmonyOS 7, redefining the large-screen interaction experience. The Live-Multitask capability supports three windows displayed in parallel, with adjustable window sizes and independent volume control. This large-screen experience covers core scenarios such as financial management, social entertainment, smart office, shopping comparison, and travel guides. Furthermore, it has been deeply adapted to leading industry apps, continuously driving innovation in the tri-fold large-screen ecosystem.

HUAWEI Mate XT 2 | ULTIMATE DESIGN starts at RMB 19,999 and will be available for purchase along with a stylus set, with official sales beginning at 10:08 on September 12th.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

Milano, 8 Settembre 2026.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — PeproMene Bio, Inc. today announced the publication in The Lancet, one of the world’s leading medical journals, of results from its Phase 1 clinical trial evaluating PMB-CT01, the company’s first-in-class BAFF-R-targeted CAR T-cell therapy, in patients with relapsed or refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

The publication reports durable complete clinical responses, together with a more favorable safety profile compared with approved CAR T-cell therapies. Seven of nine treated patients (80%) achieved a complete response (CR), including four of six patients who had progressed after conventional CD19-directed CAR T-cell therapy (“CAR after CAR”). All complete responses remained ongoing at the time of data cutoff, with no relapses observed and the longest ongoing complete response reaching 35 months, suggesting the likelihood of cure.

PMB-CT01 was remarkably safe, as all cytokine release syndrome (CRS) events and the two reported immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome (ICANS) events were limited to Grade 1.

Based on these promising results, the Phase 1 trial has expanded from a single clinical trial site at City of Hope, a cancer research and treatment organization, to multiple additional medical centers across the United States. The publication also reports that the first patient treated in the expansion phase—who had triple-hit high-grade B-cell lymphoma following progression after CD19-directed CAR T-cell therapy—also achieved a complete response at the first disease assessment.

“Publishing these peer-reviewed data in The Lancet represents a significant recognition of this novel therapy,” said Larry W. Kwak, M.D., Ph.D., scientific founder of PeproMene Bio. “With the lack of any relapses, we believe PMB-CT01 is a paradigm-shifting CAR T-cell option for blood cancers which were previously thought to be incurable. Its elite safety may also enable outpatient administration—improving access for underserved patients—while also opening doors for treating autoimmune diseases where B-cell depletion is already proven.”

“These early results are encouraging, particularly for patients whose disease progressed after CD19 or CD20-directed T-cell therapy,” said Stephen Forman, M.D., paper co-author and director of the Hematologic Malignancies Institute at City of Hope. “City of Hope will continue to support the trial as the coordinating center and manufacturing site in addition to patient enrollment.”

In December 2024, the Institute for Follicular Lymphoma Innovation (IFLI) committed up to $11 million to support the clinical development of PMB-CT01 in patients with relapsed or refractory follicular lymphoma. “For patients whose lymphoma returns after CD19-directed CAR T-cell therapy, a new target can mean a new chance. IFLI is proud to support PeproMene Bio in advancing BAFF-R CAR T-cell therapy and encouraged by these early, durable responses,” said Mehrdad Mobasher, M.D., M.P.H., Executive Partner at the Institute for Follicular Lymphoma Innovation.

ALMATY, Kazakhstan, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The Bulat Utemuratov Foundation announced a 460 million tenge (approx. US$1 million) allocation to support the gasification of private residential homes in Almaty. The initiative, implemented in partnership with the Almaty City Akimat (Mayor’s Office), aims to develop urban infrastructure, improving living conditions and the city’s air quality.

Under a newly signed memorandum, the Almaty City Akimat will inspect private residences, consult with residents on the connection process and provide comprehensive support for the transition to natural gas heating. Following this process, qualified contractors will carry out the necessary construction and installation work.

Darkhan Satybaldy, Akim (Mayor) of Almaty, emphasized: “We continue targeted work to connect private homes to the city’s gas supply network. The requirements may vary in each case, which is why it is important to comprehensively support residents, from consultations to the actual connection, alongside technical work. The support of socially responsible businesses allows us to broaden this initiative.”

The transition from coal to natural gas in private homes is a crucial step toward improving Almaty’s air quality. During the heating season, the use of solid fuels in the private sector remains a major source of pollution.

Ainur Karbozova, CEO of the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation, noted: “It is important for us to support a project aimed at developing urban infrastructure and creating more comfortable conditions for the residents of Almaty. The gasification of the private sector will enable families who are not yet connected to the gas supply system to transition to a modern heating method. We are delighted to support this city initiative.”

This gasification project builds on the Foundation’s long-standing commitment to Almaty. Previous initiatives in the city include a comprehensive reconstruction of the Botanical Garden, modernization of the ventilation and air conditioning systems at the National Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the opening of one of the first Asyl Miras Autism Centers. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Foundation also supported the local healthcare system by installing mobile PCR testing laboratories.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

World EV Day offers a timely lens on a wider transition reshaping how European households produce, store and manage electricity.

AMSTERDAM, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — As World EV Day on September 9 focuses attention on one of Europe’s most visible electrification shifts, SAMDUO is highlighting a parallel transformation taking place inside the home.

Electric mobility and residential energy storage are distinct categories, but both reflect a broader transition in which electricity is playing a larger role in everyday life. Across Europe, households are adding rooftop solar, heat pumps and other electrical systems while navigating changing tariffs, energy costs and grid conditions.

From energy consumption to active management

Europe’s first phase of household electrification largely focused on individual devices: solar panels generated electricity, batteries stored it and smart appliances used it more efficiently. The next phase will increasingly be about how these technologies work together.

As households produce more electricity and face dynamic energy conditions, timing becomes increasingly important. Consumers need to decide when energy should be used, stored or managed in response to electricity prices and expected solar generation.

This is turning the home from a passive point of consumption into a more active part of the energy system. It also changes what households expect from energy technology: products must fit domestic space, integrate with existing systems and simplify energy decisions.

Designed for European homes

The direction is shared across Europe, but household realities differ. The Netherlands, Germany and France have different electricity markets, housing types and consumer needs. Solutions must therefore combine reliable hardware with flexibility, intelligent control and the ability to adapt to local energy conditions.

“The next generation of home energy products will be judged not only by how much energy they store, but by how naturally they fit into the home and how intelligently they respond to local energy conditions,” said Kallen Lee, General Manager at SAMDUO.

SAMDUO is advancing its Home Energy Intelligence strategy in Europe, bringing together household-oriented storage design, intelligent energy management and an open energy ecosystem.

The Nex E-Series, featuring the Nex E6000 and Nex E6000H, puts this strategy into practice through a household-oriented design, expandable storage and intelligent control that responds to electricity prices, solar forecasts, consumption patterns and battery status.

SAMDUO is expanding the Nex E6000 Series across its priority European markets, including the Netherlands, Germany and France, while building its presence in the United Kingdom.

For SAMDUO, World EV Day is a reminder that Europe’s energy transition is wider than any single technology. The most visible changes may be happening on the road, but another important part of electrification is already moving through the front door.

About SAMDUO

SAMDUO is a home energy brand developing intelligent energy solutions for European households. With more than two decades of experience in precision manufacturing, power and energy storage, SAMDUO combines engineering, product design and intelligent energy management to help households manage energy more proactively.Home Energy Intelligence for every home.
Canadian Energy Metals Achieves Proof-of-Concept for Smelter Grade Alumina from a Non-Bauxite Resource & Commences its Prefeasibility Study

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

CALGARY, AB, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Canadian Energy Metals Corp. (the “Company” or “CEM”) announces further positive results from its ongoing efforts to recover strategic and critical metals from the black shales discovered at its Thor Project, located in northeast Saskatchewan, adjacent to the town of Tisdale.

CEM has achieved proof-of-concept for a process to produce Smelter Grade Alumina (“SGA”), the principal feedstock used in aluminum metal production. Testing of the process that converts boehmite produced from precursors associated with High Purity Alumina (“HPA”) and Chemical Grade Alumina (“CGA”) has consistently yielded samples that achieve the same purity and specifications as SGA produced through the Bayer Process of refining bauxite, the current industry standard.

In addition, the Company confirms the formal commencement of its Prefeasibility Study (“PFS”). A PFS provides a defensible engineering and economic assessment that defines CEM’s mining, refining, and smelting pathways; upgrades resource confidence; establishes preliminary capital and operating costs; evaluates logistics, infrastructure and market options; and determines whether the project is technically, economically, and commercially viable enough to advance to a full Feasibility Study (“FS”).

“The processes we’ve developed over the last two years with our leading engineering partners are rapidly advancing North America’s first fully integrated aluminum project,” said Christopher Hopkins, President and Chief Executive Officer of CEM. “We are proud of this achievement and are accelerating the Prefeasibility Study.”

In January 2026, CEM announced a proof-of-concept for the recovery of HPA and CGA from Thor Project black shales. The Company’s Preliminary Economic Assessment (“PEA”) was filed on SEDAR+ in May 2026 and evaluated the potential economics of producing high-purity and potentially high-value alumina products from the discovered shales.

This SGA proof-of-concept milestone expands the potential product pathway for the Thor Project and supports CEM’s broader objective of advancing a domestic source of alumina products and strategic critical metals.

Potential supply chain disruption is an elevated risk for the global economy. The ability of CEM to establish a secure North American supply from resource extraction through processing and delivery to customers is a key differentiator and fundamental to its strategic and value proposition.

CEM is continuing technical work in support of the PFS and further process optimization through advanced piloting efforts and is extending exploration activities for additional critical metals potential across its mineral rights.

About Canadian Energy Metals Corp.

CEM is a private company with an unencumbered 100% interest in the Thor Project in Saskatchewan. The Company’s primary focus is the development of its alumina resource and associated strategic and critical metals from the Thor Project black shales. The Company’s focus is demonstrating technical and economic pathways for the potential development of an integrated North American alumina and aluminum supply chain.

Qualified Person

Scientific and technical information contained in this press release was reviewed and approved by Mr. Gary Billingsley, P.Eng, P.Geo, CPA (Ret.), Chief Operating Officer of the Company, a “Qualified Person” under National Instrument 43-101 – Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects (NI 43-101). Mr. Billingsley is not independent of the Company.

Cautionary Statements

The PEA referenced in this news release is preliminary in nature and is based solely on Measured and Indicated Mineral Resources. The PEA does not include any Inferred Mineral Resources. Mineral Resources that are not Mineral Reserves do not have demonstrated economic viability. The economic analysis presented in the PEA is intended to provide only an early-stage conceptual review of the project’s potential. There is no certainty that the PEA results or economics will be realized, and actual results may vary materially. Investors are cautioned not to assume that all or any part of the Measured and Indicated Mineral Resources will ever be converted into Mineral Reserves through further advanced engineering studies.

The SGA proof-of-concept results described in this news release are based on metallurgical test work. Metallurgical test results are not necessarily indicative of results that may be achieved at pilot or commercial scale, and there is no assurance that the process described will prove to be technically or economically viable at commercial scale. Comparisons of the Company’s product samples to smelter grade alumina produced through the Bayer Process are based on preliminary analytical results and do not constitute product qualification or certification by any purchaser or standards body.

Readers are encouraged to review the full text of the technical report in respect of the PEA, prepared in accordance with NI 43-101, which is available under the Company’s profile on SEDAR+ at www.sedarplus.ca.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

Vivi l’esperienza TCL a IFA 2026

Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Jeremy Hansen will join STARMUS VIII in Tenerife and La Palma, continuing a remarkable tradition that began with the pioneers of human spaceflight in the Canary Islands in 2011.

TENERIFE, Canary Islands, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Fifteen years after STARMUS brought together the legends who defined the first age of human space exploration, the Festival will welcome the explorers who have opened its newest chapter.

Artemis II Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover and Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen will attend STARMUS VIII – The Search for Truth, taking place in Tenerife and La Palma from 17-22 October 2026.

Their arrival brings the story of STARMUS full circle.

THE ORIGINS OF STARMUS

STARMUS was born in the Canary Islands in 2011 with an extraordinary gathering dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s first human spaceflight.

Among those who came to Tenerife and La Palma were some of the greatest explorers in the history of spaceflight: Neil Armstrong, the first human to walk on the Moon; Buzz Aldrin, Apollo 11 lunar module pilot and second human on the Moon; and Alexei Leonov, the first person to walk in space.

They were joined by Apollo astronauts, Nobel Prize-winning scientists, leading astronomers, thinkers and musicians.

Armstrong delivered one of his rare public lectures. Aldrin spoke about humanity’s future journey to Mars. Leonov recounted the extraordinary beginnings of the Soviet space programme and his historic first spacewalk.

But STARMUS wanted to create something that went beyond a conventional scientific conference.

To commemorate the 108 minutes of Yuri Gagarin’s historic orbit of Earth, STARMUS created the 108 Minutes Round Table – exactly 108 minutes in which some of the world’s greatest minds could confront the biggest questions facing humanity.

The first historic discussion was held inside the Gran Telescopio Canarias (GTC) at the Roque de los Muchachos Observatory on La Palma. Neil Armstrong and Alexei Leonov sat around the same table with Brian May, Richard Dawkins, Jill Tarter, Nobel laureates and other leading scientists and thinkers for an unprecedented 108-minute conversation about humanity, science and our future in the cosmos.

It became one of the defining traditions of STARMUS.

Over subsequent editions, the 108 Minutes has brought together extraordinary figures including Stephen Hawking and Jane Goodall, Nobel laureates, Apollo astronauts, thinkers and artists – people who might rarely find themselves around the same table – to confront some of the greatest questions about humanity, our planet and our future.

STARMUS AND THE LEGACY OF APOLLO

Space exploration has remained at the heart of STARMUS throughout its history.

STARMUS was founded in 2011 by astrophysicist Dr. Garik Israelian and Queen guitarist and astrophysicist Sir Brian May. Since then, nine astronauts from the Apollo era have joined STARMUS, including some of the most celebrated figures in the history of human space exploration and several of the twelve humans who walked on the Moon.

That extraordinary connection reached one of its high points in 2019, when STARMUS V in Zurich, under the title “A Giant Leap,” celebrated the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 and humanity’s first steps on another world.

Six Apollo astronauts joined that special edition, including Buzz Aldrin, Walt Cunningham, Rusty Schweickart, Al Worden, Charlie Duke and Harrison Schmitt – three of them Moonwalkers.

They joined an extraordinary gathering of scientists, astronauts and artists celebrating one of humanity’s greatest achievements.

Hans Zimmer, Brian May, Rick Wakeman, Steve Vai and other musicians performed during a special musical celebration of Apollo and the legacy of Stephen Hawking.

That edition also marked another historic moment.

Buzz Aldrin received the first Stephen Hawking Medal for Lifetime Achievement, recognising a life that had transformed humanity’s relationship with the cosmos.

FROM APOLLO TO ARTEMIS

Now STARMUS turns from celebrating the legacy of Apollo to the generation carrying human exploration forward.

Earlier this year, Artemis II carried Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen around the Moon and safely back to Earth – the first humans to travel to the Moon in more than half a century.

During their historic journey, the four astronauts travelled farther from Earth than any humans before them.

Artemis II represents far more than a return to lunar space. It has opened a new era of human exploration beyond low-Earth orbit and paved the way for future missions to the lunar surface and, ultimately, deeper into the Solar System.

In October, three members of that historic crew – Wiseman, Glover and Hansen — will come to Tenerife and La Palma for STARMUS VIII.

The connection is unmistakable.

In 2011, STARMUS brought Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Alexei Leonov to the Canary Islands to inspire a new generation by telling the story of humanity’s first great leap into space.

In 2026, members of the Artemis II crew arrive to continue that story.

TEN YEARS OF THE STEPHEN HAWKING MEDAL

Their participation also comes during another important STARMUS anniversary.

STARMUS VIII celebrates 10 years of the Stephen Hawking Medal for Science Communication, created in 2016 by Stephen Hawking and STARMUS to recognise individuals who have transformed the public understanding of science and humanity’s place in the Universe.

Over the past decade, the Medal has recognised an extraordinary group of scientists, communicators, filmmakers, explorers and artists, including Hans Zimmer, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Buzz Aldrin, Jane Goodall, Brian May, Christopher Nolan, Sir David Attenborough and Sir Ridley Scott.

The Medal reflects one of STARMUS’s founding principles: that humanity’s greatest discoveries acquire their full power when they are communicated beyond laboratories and universities – through stories, images, music, exploration and human experience.

That commitment to science communication extends far beyond the Festival itself. Education and public engagement have been central to STARMUS from the beginning. STARMUS has delivered hundreds of free lectures at more than 35 universities and educational institutions, reaching over 20,000 students. Its free Science Camps have welcomed more than 250,000 people, with over 130 workshops, interactive exhibits and science booths bringing science directly to young people, families and the wider public.

THE NEXT GENERATION OF EXPLORERS

STARMUS VIII takes place under the theme “The Search for Truth”, bringing together an extraordinary international community including Geoffrey Hinton, Steven Pinker, Christiana Figueres and May-Britt Moser, alongside Nobel laureates, astronauts, scientists, technology leaders, thinkers and internationally renowned artists.

Alongside the Artemis II crew, STARMUS VIII will welcome two legendary figures of human spaceflight: Chris Hadfield, astronaut, former Commander of the International Space Station and one of the world’s most influential communicators of space exploration; and Julie Payette, astronaut and former Governor General of Canada, who flew two missions aboard the Space Shuttle and served aboard the International Space Station.

STARMUS VIII will open on October 17 with a spectacular Opening Concert in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, headlined by Brian May, Andrea Bocelli, Sarah Brightman & Friends. The evening will bring together music, science and some of STARMUS’s most distinguished international guests, while also celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Stephen Hawking Medal for Science Communication.

Together, they add another generation to an extraordinary STARMUS tradition of bringing the people who have actually explored space into direct conversation with scientists, artists and the public.

The presence of Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Jeremy Hansen, together with Chris Hadfield and Julie Payette, creates a remarkable bridge across the history and future of human space exploration — from Gagarin and the pioneers of the first human spaceflight era, through Armstrong, Aldrin and Apollo, to the International Space Station and now Artemis and humanity’s return to deep space.

“We are humbled and excited to join this year’s STARMUS gathering. It’s an amazing legacy, and we are still overwhelmed and inspired by our small part in it. The Artemis II mission made history, but as my crewmates repeatedly say, we know that this is really about making the future, and we are excited to discuss that with you all and above all to thank you for the global support!” said Victor Glover, Artemis II pilot.

“STARMUS was born with the pioneers who took humanity into space and onto the Moon,” said STARMUS co-founder Dr. Garik Israelian. “Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Alexei Leonov gave STARMUS something that has remained part of its DNA ever since – the conviction that exploration has the power to change how we see ourselves and our planet.”

STARMUS is committed to ensuring that the achievements of Artemis II reach far beyond the space community – inspiring young people to become the scientists, engineers, astronauts, artists and explorers who will define humanity’s next great journey.

The legacy that came to STARMUS with Armstrong, Aldrin and Leonov in 2011 now continues with Artemis.

A new generation has reached the Moon. Now they are landing at STARMUS.

Festival passes and individual tickets, including tickets for the Opening Concert on October 17, are available through the official STARMUS website: www.starmus.com.

STARMUS VIII is made possible with the support of Cabildo de Tenerife, Gobierno de Canarias, Cabildo de La Palma, Sodepal and its international partners and sponsors.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

Denver’s legendary venue honors 85 years of music and history

DENVER, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — On June 8, 1941, the soon-to-be iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre held a pre-opening ceremony where city, state and federal officials spoke, and the Denver Junior Symphony Orchestra performed. During this event, officials spoke of the significance of the venue and paid tribute to the 500 Civilian Conservation Corps men who spent four years building the amphitheatre. The official grand opening gala was held on June 15, 1941, featuring a Native American ceremony and a performance by the Denver Municipal Chorus. The gala was broadcast nationally over the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS), propelling Red Rocks Amphitheatre into the spotlight. The event captured national attention and was reviewed in “Time Magazine.”

85 years later the majestic venue has featured acts from around the world, been host to the recording of some of the most legendary live albums in history and even has an eponymous award. Owned and operated by the City & County of Denver, and maintained as part of the City’s Mountain Parks portfolio, Red Rocks has become one of the world’s most celebrated venues and a must-see attraction. More than just concerts, it is a major tourism driver for the city that continues to draw visitors with hiking, yoga classes, outdoor films and more.

Red Rocks Amphitheatre has won countless awards. In fact, in 1999, after “Pollstar Magazine” awarded Red Rocks the annual honor of being the best small outdoor venue for the eleventh time, the magazine changed the name of the award to the “Red Rocks Award” and removed Red Rocks from the running. The accolades continue to stack up. Most recently, in December 2025, “Billboard” named Red Rocks Amphitheatre the No. 2 attended venue in the United States, and “Pollstar Magazine” named it the best-attended amphitheatre in the world. Additionally, “Rolling Stone Magazine” noted Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre as the No. 1 “Hottest Music Venue in the Country” in April 2023. Its reputation may precede it, but there is really nothing like seeing a show at Red Rocks with perfect natural acoustics thanks to large sandstone rocks that envelop the artist and audience.

Although the official Red Rocks Amphitheatre has been celebrated since 1941, its history dates back 300 million years. During this time Colorado was an island surrounded by seas that rose and fell for millions of years, leaving behind sandy beaches that became the unmistakable sandstone formations that make up Red Rocks. Dinosaurs once roamed through this naturally-occurring geological phenomenon, and visitors can explore the fossil bones and footprints at the nearby Dinosaur Ridge. Long before it became a world-renowned music venue, the land was traditional territory of the Ute, Cheyenne and Arapahoe peoples. Indigenous peoples used and gathered at the site for hundreds of years. In 1927, the City of Denver purchased 675 acres of Red Rocks and later built scenic roads throughout. Construction began in 1935 when the Morrison Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Camp was created. The CCC was established to provide employment opportunities to young men during the Great Depression and provided most of the labor that transformed Red Rocks into a functional park and amphitheatre The project was completed in 1941 when the grand opening gala was held on June 15.

Red Rocks is so much more than just a music venue. Other guest attractions include the newly renovated Visitor Center located within the amphitheatre where visitors can see historical images of the area, annual lists of performers, a gift shop, the Red Rocks Hall of Fame and more. Visitors can also grab a bite to eat at Ship Rock Grille’s patio while taking in the mountain views. Once fueled, visitors can get their heart pumping by climbing the 193 steps from the stage to the top plaza or walking the 9,525 hand-carved seats, totaling roughly 2.7 miles. There are also several hiking trails within the park, including Trading Post Trail (1.4 miles), Mount Vernon Creek Trail Loop (2.3 miles), Red Rocks and Morrison Slide Loop (3.3 miles) and more.

Over the past 85 years, Red Rocks Amphitheatre has hosted some of the world’s most famous concerts. On August 26, 1964, The Beatles performed at Red Rocks, and tickets were sold for $6.60. This was the only stop on their tour that did not sell out, partly due to the “outrageous” ticket prices. After that, stars of every genre took the stage, including Sonny & Cher, Carpenters, Carole King, Depeche Mode, Jimi Hendrix, Rush, Grateful Dead, Stevie Nicks, Phish, Neil Young, Kenny Chesney, Florence + The Machine and many more. To date, Red Rocks has hosted more than 20 album recordings including some of legend. In 1983, U2 released one of the most famous concert films, “Under the Blood Red Sky,” which became a pivotal moment in their career. U2’s June 5 concert at Red Rocks was almost cancelled due to weather, but those who braved the storm became part of one of the most legendary moments in music history. In 1997, Dave Matthews Band released “Live at Red Rocks 8.15.95,” helping reinforce Red Rocks as a premier venue for live recorded albums. This was the first of many live recordings Dave Matthews Band would release as the demand for official concert albums grew. The live albums from Red Rocks continue to this day with artists like John Butler Trio, Mumford & Sons, The Flaming Lips, Disturbed, Vance Joy and more.

This year, Red Rocks is celebrating its anniversary through a storytelling campaign exploring the park’s history. Fans are invited to share their favorite Red Rocks memories through a new landing page on the website where select stories may be featured in the campaign. The celebration will continue through the season with the 2026 lineup including some iconic artists and performances, like Widespread Panic’s June 26-28, 2026 run, which marks the band’s 76th through 78th consecutive sold-out shows at Red Rocks, Deadrocks XII with Zeds Dead (July 2–3, 2026), Wynonna Judd & Melissa Etheridge with the Colorado Symphony (Aug. 2, 2026), Brandi Carlile (Sept. 11-13, 2026), Andrea Bocelli (Sept. 20-21, 2026) and more!
