Confitex Technology wins INDEX Award and Hygienix Innovation Award for world-first washable nonwoven absorbent hygiene products

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

Reusable absorbent hygiene manufacturer Confitex Technology has won the hygiene industry’s two top innovation awards, validating washable alternatives to single-use period and incontinence pads and liners – and signaling a more sustainable future for personal hygiene.

AUCKLAND, New Zealand, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Confitex Technology has become the first company to win both of the global nonwovens industry’s top awards – the INDEX Award, presented at the INDEX26 expo in Geneva in May 2026, and the Hygienix Innovation Award, presented in the US in November 2025. Its breakthrough washable nonwoven absorbent hygiene products prove that the nonwoven materials used in single-use pads, liners, incontinence guards and bed pads can be stabilised to survive machine washing and tumble drying, and excellent absorbency can be achieved without petroleum-based superabsorbent polymers (SAPs).

Confitex Technology Founder and CEO Frantisek Riha-Scott says the implications are huge. “What Confitex Technology has done is unlock an entirely new product category – washable, reusable absorbent hygiene products that perform as well as, or better than, disposables, at a price point that works for mainstream consumers and mass-market retailers. It’s the beginning of a consumer category shift comparable to the move from single-use plastic bags to reusables.”

The global absorbent hygiene products (AHP) market is valued at about USD 123.5 billion, with reusable products making up less than 15 percent but growing at a CAGR of 6.89%. EU regulatory pressure supports a move away from single-use plastic products, and the French government recently announced menstrual equity subsidies for reusable period underwear at population scale.

The INDEX Award jury – a panel of global industry experts convened by Brussels-based AHP industry body EDANA – highlighted the market opportunity: “By making absorbent nonwovens fully laundry-compatible, the technology enables nonwoven suppliers to enter the rapidly growing reusable market, historically dominated by textile products. At the same time, the product delivers improved absorbency, leak protection and ease of care for users, while supporting sustainability goals through reusability and the use of predominantly natural-based fibres.”

Confitex Technology’s award-winning nonwoven reusable pads are up to 90 percent bio-based, contain no SAPS, and have been independently lab-tested by Intertek to match or exceed the absorbency of single-use equivalents. All incoming bulk raw materials are tested for PFAS ‘forever chemicals’ and all Confitex Technology products meet OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification.

Confitex Technology Executive Director Lisa Voyle says the company is partnering with global retailers and leading FMCG players to build the washable nonwoven category for mainstream adoption across European and North American markets.

About the awards

The INDEX Awards are presented triennially by Brussels-based nonwovens association EDANA and considered the industry’s highest accolade. The Hygienix Innovation Award is presented annually by US-based industry body INDA to honour breakthrough technologies advancing the AHP industry.

About Confitex Technology

Confitex Technology is the tech leader in reusable absorbent hygiene – designing and manufacturing washable absorbent hygiene products (including reusable period pads and liners, period underwear, incontinence underwear, incontinence products, maternity products, pet products, baby products and bed pads) on behalf of private-label retailers, brands and distributors worldwide from its own automated facilities in Asia and Europe. Confitex Technology’s innovations are protected by over 60 granted patents and its operations hold ISO 13485, EU Medical Device CE Mark, MDSAP, OEKO-TEX STeP, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) and FSC Chain of Custody (FSC CoC) certifications.

TOUGHBOOK ALIMENTA LA NUOVA GENERAZIONE DI SOLUZIONI DIAGNOSTICHE PER AEROMOBILI DI GE AEROSPACE

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

VIP programming begins October 6, 2026, with a dinner at Rosewood Amsterdam and an Amsterdam canal cruise. It is the seventh edition of LITFINCON, the premier global conference series for the litigation finance industry, and the first held in Europe.

Litigation finance remains a relationship-driven market, where trust, judgment, and established counterparties often determine which opportunities receive capital. LITFINCON is run by practitioners rather than event promoters. The series is organized by Siltstone Capital, an active investor in legal finance, and the Amsterdam program is intentionally structured to create meaningful interaction among decision-makers shaping the market.

“Every deal in this industry starts with a conversation between people who trust each other,” said Jim Batson, Chief Investment Officer, Legal Finance at Siltstone Capital. “We underwrite and deploy capital in this market ourselves, so we build the conference we would want to attend. The content matters, but relationships and introductions are what people take home.”

Notable Speakers

Confirmed speakers span litigation funding, complex disputes, contingent risk insurance, institutional capital, and legal asset investing.

Jim Batson opens Day 1, and Robert Le, Co-Founder of Siltstone Capital, opens Day 2. Additional speakers will be announced before the conference.

On the Agenda

The 11-panel program focuses on several of the most consequential questions facing legal finance today: how European collective actions are being priced, where arbitration award enforcement is creating investable opportunities, how the Unified Patent Court is reshaping IP strategy, how artificial intelligence and technology are transforming litigation and legal finance, and how insurance is increasingly being used to structure and de-risk legal assets.

Networking programming includes a VIP dinner at the Rosewood Amsterdam and an Amsterdam canal cruise, and the inaugural European edition of Lunch, Law & Laughs with comedian Valeria Vulpe.

Supporting Organizations

LITFINCON Europe is supported by Burford Capital, CAC Specialty WTW, Vale Insurance Partners, Ignite Specialty Risk, Victoria Peak Litigation Funding, Legal Asset Servicing Ignitis, and Complex Law.

Registration

Registration remains open at www.litfinconeurope.com, with attendance intentionally limited to preserve the senior, relationship-driven format of the conference. A preferred room rate at the Rosewood Amsterdam is available for October 6–8 while the remaining room block lasts. Firms sending three or more attendees, and delegates planning to attend both LITFINCON Europe and LITFINCON USA in 2027, should contact the organizers directly at info@litfincon.com.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

Milano, 15 Settembre 2026.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

Varese, 15 Settembre 2026.

Under “GOOD AS G.O.A.T,” the partnership brings together Van Persie’s legendary career and ENGWE’s vision for everyday mobility — built around being there when it matters.

BERLIN, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Ahead of Car-Free Day, global e-bike brand ENGWE today announced Dutch football legend Robin van Persie as its new brand ambassador. At the heart of the partnership is “GOOD AS G.O.A.T” — a playful evolution of “good as gold,” reimagined through the sporting idea of the GOAT, or “Greatest of All Time.” It connects Van Persie’s career with a quality that matters beyond football: being someone people can count on.

Being There When It Matters

From Feyenoord to Arsenal and Manchester United, Van Persie built a career marked by a Premier League title, two Golden Boots and his iconic 2014 World Cup diving header — backed by years of preparation, discipline and consistency.

Since retiring as a player, his roles have evolved from football to coaching and family life, but one principle remains: being prepared, present and someone others can count on.

That same idea connects Van Persie with ENGWE. For riders, it means a bike they can count on for every journey, with performance, comfort and safety ready for commuting, errands or weekend rides.

“Robin represents performance, discipline and reliability, but also an active way of life beyond football,” said an ENGWE executive. “Together, we want to make e-mobility a more natural part of everyday life.”

Van Persie added: “Throughout my career, reliability has always mattered — being able to trust the people around you, your equipment and your decisions. That is one of the things that attracted me to ENGWE.”

Count on Every Ride

For the partnership, Van Persie rides the ENGWE L20 3.0 Series, bringing “COUNT ON EVERY RIDE” into everyday mobility. Built around comfort, the series combines a step-through frame, full suspension, torque-sensing assistance, fast charging and connected IoT features. The L20 3.0 Pro was also honored with the iF DESIGN AWARD 2026.

Behind the bike, ENGWE supports riders through capabilities spanning R&D, design, manufacturing, quality control and after-sales service, with 15 branded stores and 400+ retail partners across Europe — extending “count on” from the ride to the ownership experience.

From Car-Free Day to SOE Spain

Ahead of European Car-Free Day on September 22, ENGWE will run its “Car-Free, Carefree” campaign from September 16 to October 8, encouraging people to reconsider short car journeys and choose a more active, flexible way to move, with savings of up to €685.

On September 19, Van Persie will join ENGWE at SOE Spain for his first major public appearance with the brand. Media can meet Van Persie and experience ENGWE’s latest e-bikes.

Hanshow, shopreme, and Lucky cart Unveil a New Smart Cart Solution to Enhance the Shopping Experience and Drive Retail Growth

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

PARIS, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Hanshow, a global leader in digital store solutions, today announced the launch of a jointly developed Smart Cart solution with shopreme and Lucky cart. Bringing together AI-powered shopping assistance, precise in-store navigation, self-checkout, multi-layer loss prevention, and integrated retail media capabilities, the solution is designed to bring greater convenience, personalization, and measurable engagement into the physical store.

The solution transforms the cart from a carrier into an intelligent in-store touchpoint, supporting shoppers from product discovery through self-checkout. It also connects the shopping journey with digital store infrastructure, enabling a more coordinated engagement for shoppers, retailers, and brands.

“Physical retail is entering a new era where shopper engagement, store operations, and retail media are becoming increasingly connected,” said Philippe Brochard, Chairman of the Advisory Board at Hanshow. “Smart Cart is emerging as an intelligent touchpoint that brings these capabilities together in a single in-store experience. With embedded retail media capabilities, retailers can deliver more relevant and personalised journeys while preserving the strengths that make physical stores unique.”

Extending the Value of the Store Journey

Beyond improving convenience at checkout, the Smart Cart creates value across the broader retail ecosystem by bringing shopper engagement, retail activation and store intelligence into a unified touchpoint.

For shoppers, the Smart Cart offers a more intuitive way to move through the store. Product search, synchronized shopping lists, personalized recommendations, proximity-based promotions, and precise indoor navigation help customers find products and choose products with greater confidence and ease. Self-scanning, flexible payment options, and digital receipts further streamline the experience, reducing friction from discovery through checkout.

For retailers, the solution combines customer service, security, transaction and operational capabilities within one touchpoint. Targeted, multi-layer loss prevention capabilities combine advanced software and AI camera vision to support secure self-checkout while maintaining a seamless customer experience, instead of relying on random checks. Shopper-path and basket insights can help retailers improve store operations and better understand the customer journey. By embedding key shopping and checkout functions throughout the store journey, the solution can help reduce friction, improve operational efficiency and relieve pressure on traditional checkout zones. Retailers also retain control over the shopping experience, activation rules, and commercial strategy.

To support different store formats and digitalization strategies, the solution is available in two configurations: a fully integrated Smart Cart with scale-based Loss Prevention and a retrofit configuration with AI camera vision that upgrades compatible cart fleets with intelligent capabilities. Both run on the same shopreme software and integration and require an equal investment, giving retailers the flexibility to choose the setup that best fits their requirements and even test both in parallel without creating separate technology stacks.

For brands, the Smart Cart introduces new opportunities to bring online-level precision of promotion and measurement into the physical store. Integrated retail media capabilities support contextual engagement closer to the point of purchase, while connecting exposure, consideration, engagement, and basket outcomes through closed-loop measurement. The result is a more accountable and actionable retail media environment that helps bridge the gap between e-commerce intelligence and in-store activation.

“Retail media keeps moving closer to the point of purchase decision, to the ‘first moment of truth’, where shopper attention and conversion are strongest. With the Smart Cart, we’re bringing into the aisle what we’ve known how to do online for years: precise targeting, non-intrusive personalization and proof of the impact of every euro brands invest,” said Romain Charles, CEO of Lucky cart.

“Retailers need Self-Checkout solutions that remove checkout friction, streamline loss prevention and guide shoppers throughout the trip without scattering capabilities across separate systems and data silos. Together with Hanshow and Lucky cart, we connect checkout, guidance, loss prevention, and retail media, strengthening the business case without turning the shopping trip into an ad break,” said Florian Burgstaller, CEO of shopreme.

Powered by a Connected Retail Ecosystem

The solution combines three complementary areas of industry-leading expertise that have traditionally operated through separate store systems.

Hanshow provides the Smart Cart technology foundation and intelligent store infrastructure that enables large-scale deployment across diverse retail environments. Built on Hanshow’s expertise in digital store solutions, ESL connectivity, and IoT-enabled retail operations, the platform connects Smart Carts with the wider store ecosystem while supporting AI-powered services, precise indoor positioning, and proximity-based engagement. Its flexible, model-agnostic AI architecture further enables retailers to adapt to different technology environments, compliance requirements, and future innovation opportunities

shopreme brings its unified self-checkout ecosystem and expertise. Its ecosystem incorporates self-scanning, on-cart payment, multi-layer loss prevention, an employee app, and detailed analytics. With a single integration to existing POS, loyalty, ERP, and other systems, retailers can accelerate deployment while maintaining operational efficiency and security at scale.

Lucky cart brings expertise in retail media, shopper activation, and performance measurement, powered by AI and data science. On the Smart Cart, this means turning each shopper interaction during their in-store journey into real-time personalized offers, displayed directly on the cart screen. This way, Lucky cart’s capabilities support contextual content, one-to-one personalized promotions, and closed-loop measurement, integrating brand engagement into the shopping experience.

Together, the three partners connect intelligent store infrastructure, journey orchestration, and retail media activation within one Smart Cart solution. The value lies not only in the individual capabilities, but in the integrated platform they create, enabling retailers to connect shopper engagement, store intelligence, and brand activation in new ways.

From Smart Cart to Store Digital Twin

As part of Hanshow’s Store Digital Twin platform, the solution extends the role of Smart Cart from a shopping device to an intelligent interaction layer that connects shoppers, products, and spaces. By generating real-time insights throughout the shopping journey, the platform helps create a more connected and responsive store experience. It also strengthens the digital foundation that enables retailers to integrate retail media, loyalty, operational intelligence, and shopper engagement within a unified ecosystem.

Through continued innovation and ecosystem collaboration, the three partners aim to help retailers bridge the gap between digital shopper expectations and physical retail experiences, bringing the intelligence of digital commerce into physical retail while re-enchanting the shopping experience.

The solution will be showcased live at the Hanshow booth (Hall 6, Booth E-020) during NRF 2026: Retail’s Big Show Europe, held 15-17 September 2026 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, where visitors can explore how ecosystem collaboration is shaping the next generation of connected retail experiences.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

XI’AN, China, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — JDEnergy hosted a webinar dedicated to the Spanish energy storage market, bringing together its technical and local sales teams alongside Spanish partner WDenergia to share perspectives on BESS technology, real-world project applications and local market development.

Under the theme “Future-Ready Energy Storage: String PCS Architecture for Spain’s Energy Transition,” the webinar provided an in-depth look at JDEnergy’s string PCS architecture and its application across grid-scale and commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage projects.

A key focus of the session was how BESS architecture affects system performance over the project lifecycle. Compared with conventional centralized designs, JDEnergy’s string PCS architecture provides independent control at battery-cluster level, eliminating DC-side parallel connections and allowing each cluster to charge and discharge according to its own operating conditions. This helps maximize usable energy while improving fault isolation, system availability and operational flexibility. Over the full system lifecycle, this more granular approach to battery management can help mitigate the impact of differences in battery degradation, maintain higher energy utilization and support more consistent system performance over time.

Moving from architecture to application, JDEnergy introduced the eBlock-418A, a modular energy storage solution for grid-side and large-scale C&I applications that incorporates its string PCS architecture. Its AC-side architecture supports flexible system scaling to accommodate different project requirements, while grid-forming capability enables the system to establish and regulate voltage and frequency within its operating range. The eBlock-418A has already been delivered across Hungary, Germany, Italy, Japan and other overseas markets, building a proven track record across diverse grid conditions and application scenarios.

Building on this international project experience, JDEnergy is further expanding its presence in Spain through its partnership with WDenergia. Under a framework agreement targeting 200 MWh of BESS business, the cooperation will focus on C&I energy storage projects, leveraging JDEnergy’s technology and project experience alongside WDenergia’s local development and EPC capabilities.

As Spain accelerates renewable deployment and demand for grid flexibility continues to grow, JDEnergy will continue to bring its proven energy storage technologies and international project experience to the Spanish market, working with local partners to support the deployment of more reliable, flexible and efficient energy storage systems.

About JDEnergy

JDEnergy is a leader in smart energy storage across the value chain, offering integrated products and services for utility-scale and C&I applications.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

Vision AI-based solution enables retailers to recover or deter more than 75% of self-checkout losses via real-time detection, with privacy by design

ZÜRICH, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Scandit, the leader in smart data capture, today announced Self-Checkout Loss Prevention, a real-time vision AI solution that helps retailers detect loss patterns whether accidental or intentional as they happen. The solution empowers shoppers to self-correct, without store associate intervention in the majority of cases, to keep the checkout flow uninterrupted.

Scandit’s entry into the loss prevention market addresses one of retail’s most visible tensions: reducing loss at self checkout without adding friction that frustrates shoppers or burdens store teams. Self-checkout now handles 54% of transactions in stores that have it. Those stores carry losses 33% higher than comparable stores without it, and loss rises an average of 22% in the year after installation, according to ECR Retail Loss’s Self-Checkout Loss Report 2026. Random spot checks can take in excess of two minutes according to one German retailer causing customer friction and absorbing associate time.

With Self-Checkout Loss Prevention, a soft on-screen nudge to shoppers, or attendant notification if escalated, corrects any flagged items before a transaction is completed, resulting in the recovery or deterrence of more than 75% of losses attributed to self checkout. This includes known loss patterns such as missed scans, intentionally skipped items, left in trolley and abandoned transactions.

“Self-checkout fundamentally changed retail, but it also changed the loss equation,” said Christian Floerkemeier, Scandit CTO and Co-Founder. “Retailers shouldn’t have to choose between a fast checkout experience and strong loss prevention. Self-Checkout Loss Prevention gives them a software-first way to detect issues in real time with the process configurable to a retailer’s own policy. In addition to recovering losses, it also enables retailers to optimize labor usage more productively.”

Self-Checkout Loss Prevention deploys as a per-station architecture which eliminates the need for dedicated servers and complex installation while unlocking a scalable deployment from small store formats to large hypermarkets. The hardware-agnostic solution works with existing camera infrastructure – whether built-in, off-the-shelf, or standard security cameras above the self-checkout station – eliminating the need for purpose-built AI hardware to maintain a low total cost of ownership. With privacy at its core, the solution processes video on the station and is designed to support retailers in meeting their GDPR obligations. Analyzing items and transaction activity only means no facial or biometric identification is required, avoiding by design the practices the EU AI Act prohibits, and is all backed by Scandit’s ISO 27001 certification.

“One of the challenges of vision AI checks at self-checkout has been the heavy infrastructure cost and latency involved in some legacy solutions which often created a disconnect between the behavior and the timing of the intervention leading to confusion for all involved,” commented Greg Buzek, President and Principal Analyst, IHL Group. “A lightweight solution that is easy to deploy in stores removes that cost and latency, and where existing cameras can be reused, lowers the cost further. That can be a win-win for retailers: deterring deliberate theft while quickly resolving the honest mistakes that would otherwise slow the transaction process.”

With this announcement and Scandit’s launch of Age Verified Self-Checkout in July 2026, the two biggest friction points which require associate involvement are significantly reduced. Age-Verified Self-Checkout enables retailers to automate and verify self-checkout purchases of age-restricted items to reduce lane delays, remove avoidable associate intervention and improve compliance. With both solutions combined, Scandit provides a more autonomous self-checkout model that supports age-verification compliance, protected on loss, and frees up associates for higher value work instead of routine checks.

These announcements build on Scandit’s broader vision for store intelligence and is the latest expansion of its retail solutions portfolio also encompassing on-shelf availability via ShelfView, price and planogram compliance, expiry date management and markdown and intelligent in-store picking. Retailers can turn store data into real-time inventory visibility and prioritized actions to protect profit and reduce operational risk.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Ho Chi Minh City is affirming its position as a gateway for connecting global resources and strengthening local diplomacy through the successful organization of the 3rd Ho Chi Minh City Friendship Dialogue (FD 2026), held from September 10 to 12 in Vung Tau Ward.

City Diplomacy Initiatives Gain Traction in the International Community

Under the theme “City Diplomacy: A Driving Force for Innovation and Sustainable Development,” this year’s event brings together leaders from numerous foreign localities and international organizations to share strategic perspectives on local diplomacy and a proactive approach to international integration. At the Mayors’ Conference, participants discussed and reached consensus on leveraging local diplomacy to attract technological resources and talent, with a view to building a modern urban ecosystem and promoting sustainable growth. The participating localities also proposed a range of solutions to encourage businesses to invest in research and development (R&D), commercialize innovation outcomes, and strengthen the role of local governments in advancing port cooperation and meeting next-generation sustainability standards.

One notable outcome was the participants’ support for an initiative to study a city-level multilateral cooperation mechanism on seaports, with the aim of creating a regular forum for exchanging experience, sharing data, expanding connections and coordination among ports, as well as broadening markets and connecting supply chains to meet next-generation sustainability standards.

A New Profile for a City with Deep-Water Seaports

Since July 1, 2025, following its merger with Binh Duong and Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City has entered a new stage of development, covering more than 6,770 km² and home to a population of over 14 million. The expanded City brings together three of Viet Nam’s most dynamic growth poles: a financial, commercial, services, science and technology hub in the core urban area; a high-tech industrial manufacturing base in the Binh Duong area; and a deep-water port system, marine economy, energy sector and coastal tourism in the Vung Tau area. This expanded development space is reinforced by an important legal framework, including the Law on Urban Development adopted by the National Assembly on August 24, 2026, and Politburo Resolution No. 09-NQ/TW dated May 19, 2026, on the building and development of Ho Chi Minh City in the new era, which sets targets for GRDP per capita of USD 14,000 by 2030 and USD 75,000 by 2045.

Local diplomacy serves as an important channel for the City to translate this development potential into tangible resources: connecting with international financial centers and attracting experts and high-tech capital to the core urban area; promoting investment, technology transfer and supply-chain expansion for the Binh Duong industrial area; and creating a forum for multilateral port cooperation, sharing experience in green port governance and connecting the Vung Tau marine economic area with global logistics chains.

Ho Chi Minh City currently maintains an extensive network of local-level external relations, with friendship and cooperation ties with 88 foreign localities and nearly 20 international organizations and partners across the continents. The City is also a major destination for foreign direct investment, with more than 20,000 active FDI projects, making an important contribution to technology capital flows and national development resources. In the first six months of 2026, the City’s economy reached nearly USD 60 billion, its highest level in the past 10 years, contributing nearly 25% of national GDP and more than 30% of total state budget revenue.

Strategic infrastructure of regional significance continues to reinforce the City’s development position. The Cai Mep – Thi Vai port cluster is currently the largest deep-water seaport complex in southern Viet Nam and ranks 19th globally in its capacity to accommodate mainline vessels. With an average depth of 14 meters, it can receive vessels of up to 250,000 DWT. In addition, Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park – a representative model of cooperation between the Governments of Viet Nam and Japan – is being developed along ecological and industrial-symbiosis principles, meeting stringent ESG and sustainable-development standards. These strategic advantages are generating new momentum, strengthening the City’s internal capacity and enhancing its ability to attract high-tech and green-industry resources for future development.

The successful organization of the FD 2026 not only demonstrates the City’s capacity for modern urban governance and opens a direct channel for attracting high-quality investment, green technologies and advanced logistics, but also contributes to Viet Nam a model of effective local diplomacy. It reflects the City’s pioneering role in the coordinated and effective implementation of the country’s foreign policy at the local level, in line with the principle that foreign affairs are a key and regular task; thereby enhancing Viet Nam’s international standing and helping advance the goal of making the country a reliable link in global value chains.
