The White Paper, Boosting mRNA: Mucosal Immunity and a Platform Beyond It, describes how AdJane’s Nm-nOMV technology could complement existing respiratory vaccines by adding an immune response at the mucosal surfaces where respiratory pathogens first enter the body. 

Current intramuscular respiratory vaccines have demonstrated their ability to generate strong systemic immunity and protect against severe disease. However, they generally induce limited immunity at respiratory mucosal surfaces. There is a growing body of evidence that mucosal (IgA) responses can reduce transmission at the point of entry.  AdJane believes this creates an opportunity to build on established vaccination approaches, in line with the aspiration of public health bodies to reduce infection and transmission, alongside reducing severe disease. 

AdJane’s strategy is to build on the systemic immunity established by intramuscular priming with an intranasal Nm-nOMV booster designed to induce complementary immunity at the respiratory mucosa. In this heterologous prime-boost approach, vaccine developers could retain the benefits, infrastructure and broad coverage of established respiratory vaccines while developing next-generation vaccination regimens that add a proprietary mucosal component.

Initial clinical support 

AdJane’s recently completed Phase I study provides initial clinical support for the mucosal booster concept. In a post-hoc identified subset of participants who had previously received Pfizer and/or Moderna COVID-19 mRNA vaccines, subsequent intranasal administration of an Nm-nOMV vaccine displaying SARS-CoV-2 Spike was well tolerated and induced significant nasal IgA responses. 

These observations provide initial human evidence supporting the concept of heterologous systemic priming followed by intranasal Nm-nOMV boosting. Further clinical studies will be required to establish the magnitude, durability and potential clinical relevance of the additional mucosal immune response. 

While the initial clinical observations relate to individuals previously primed with COVID-19 mRNA vaccines, the White Paper explores the broader potential of the approach. Limited mucosal immunity is not unique to mRNA vaccination and is a feature of many intramuscular respiratory vaccination strategies. 

Subject to further development and clinical validation, potential applications could therefore extend across COVID-19, influenza, RSV, combination respiratory vaccines and future pandemic preparedness. 

A broader platform opportunity 

The mucosal booster concept represents one application of AdJane’s broader Nm-nOMV platform. Physical Adsorption + Smart Cycling 

The i10 uses a molecular sieve to adsorb moisture from the air inside the cabinet. Its smart cycling system releases collected moisture and restores adsorption capacity automatically, providing continuous humidity control between 10% and 45% RH.

BMI Korea, the 30-year high-pressure washing engineer from Korea says the bottleneck isn’t collection — it’s cleaning 

HWASEONG, South Korea, Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — From February 12, 2028, EU food service establishments offering takeaway must provide reusable packaging within a formal reuse system. Non-compliance risks fines and market restrictions. But one question remains: who washes the millions of cups now circulating through Europe’s economy? 

The EU generated 79.7 million tonnes of packaging waste in 2023 — 177.8 kg per citizen. Only 42.1% of plastic packaging was recycled. Global disposable cup demand will reach 491 billion units by 2028. The UK consumes 7 million cups daily, producing 30,000 tonnes of waste annually. 

UNEP data shows reusable cups cut emissions by up to 69% versus single-use. The EU PPWR mandates waste reduction of 5% by 2030, 10% by 2035, and 15% by 2040. But washing infrastructure does not exist in most European markets.

According to the Hydrogen Council’s Global Hydrogen Compass 2026, released today, committed investment has surpassed USD 130 billion, corresponding to 6.9 Mtpa of committed capacity across more than 570 projects worldwide, 90% of which are under construction or already operational. 

The new report, co-authored with McKinsey & Company and informed by the perspectives of some 70 global CEOs, highlights continued industry progress alongside a changing strategic context. Over the past year, global operational capacity has nearly doubled and is expected to double again next year as projects under construction come online. 

At the same time, shifting geopolitical priorities are strengthening hydrogen’s role as a strategic resilience lever. As governments seek to strengthen energy security, build more resilient economies and support long-term industrial growth, hydrogen is receiving renewed attention for its ability to help address multiple strategic priorities alongside deep decarbonization, complementing growing electrification and use of renewable energy sources. 

Geographically, China remains the largest market, accounting for more than half of global committed renewable hydrogen capacity, as well as 90% of new operational capacity globally added since 2025. Europe now follows as the second-largest market, leading in project count and relative investment growth (+35% since 2025). The United States continues to lead in low-carbon hydrogen deployment, accounting for approximately 75% of global committed low-carbon hydrogen and ammonia capacity. 

The experience of these leading markets also points to the industry’s next challenge: projects move forward where policy and infrastructure are the most robust. Of the 11 Mpta of potential 2030 clean hydrogen demand that existing policies could unlock by 2030, around 6 Mtpa is firmed today by policies that have been enacted and enforced.  Unlocking the remaining 5 Mpta now requires urgent action from governments to deliver on existing policy commitments.   

For policymakers, the top priority is to implement enabling incentives and mandates, as well as robust carbon pricing instruments providing demand signals. For industry, the focus is to serve that demand cost effectively, which requires strong push to reduce cost and build the necessary infrastructure. 

Combining comprehensive industry data with CEO perspectives and lessons learned from some of the world’s most significant clean hydrogen projects, Global Hydrogen Compass 2026 provides a fact-based assessment of the industry’s progress and the practical actions needed to accelerate deployment. As Norway advances its transition to electric public transport, the Center will enhance maintenance capabilities, compliance inspections, and local service responsiveness for pure electric buses, offering customers a more direct service option and delivering systematic support for fleet operations across their full lifecycle. 

Covering approximately 38,941 square meters with a building area of 6,074 square meters, including a 2,300‑square‑meter parts warehouse, the Center integrates brand display, vehicle delivery, after‑sales service, parts supply, and training facilities, delivering all‑around customer support. Built around Yutong as the core, the Center consolidates multi‑dimensional service functions and complements existing local partners and service channels, offering customers more direct, flexible issue resolution and service options.

Per consentire le manovre di bonifica e tutelare i passanti, il Comune ha decretato l’interdizione della circolazione stradale in via Mazzini (fra viale Manin e via Foscolo), viale Manin (tra via Vespucci e piazza d’Azeglio), via Zanardelli (da viale Manin a via Foscolo) e via Virgilio (nel tratto tra via dei Pescatori e via Menini). Chiusura totale anche per le pinete, il viale dei Tigli e il parco Inaco Biancalana in Darsena, dove si lavora per rimuovere una pianta a rischio caduta.

L’aggravarsi del quadro meteo ha spinto l’amministrazione a cancellare il tradizionale mercato settimanale in programma domani (10 settembre). A partire dalla mezzanotte entrerà infatti in vigore l’allerta arancione per temporali di forte intensità e criticità idrogeologica sul reticolo minore, con termine previsto per le 18 di domani, quando il livello di criticità scenderà a giallo fino alle 24.

Nel rivolgere un sentito ringraziamento agli operatori sul campo, l’assessore ai lavori pubblici Alberto Pardini ha raccomandato alla popolazione la massima cautela, raccomandando di mantenersi a distanza dalle aree di cantiere e di attenersi scrupolosamente alle deviazioni stradali disposte.

Nuova generazione, nuova Lingua cinematografica: Osmo Pocket 4P dà vita a una nuova conversazione sulla narrazione, sulla libertà di Creatività e sugli strumenti professionali.

L’incontro ha riunito registi e direttori della fotografia emergenti per esplorare una domanda a cui il settore ha appena iniziato a rispondere: quando una cinepresa entra nel palmo della mano, in che modo cambia la Lingua stessa del cinema? 

Da Cannes a Venezia: Una visione unificata 

La sessione del Venice Production Bridge ha proseguito il percorso creativo iniziato quest’anno da Osmo Pocket Series. Dopo la presentazione globale a Cannes a maggio, DJI ha affidato Osmo Pocket 4P a due tra le voci visive più distintive del cinema, ognuna al lavoro in modo indipendente su continenti diversi. I risultati hanno rivelato una notevole convergenza. 

In “FAMILIARITÉ”, l’attrice Isabelle Huppert, premiata a Cannes e Venezia, è protagonista e regista creativa di un’originale meditazione sulla letteratura e la memoria, girata interamente con Osmo Pocket 4P. Allo stesso tempo, l’acclamato direttore della fotografia giapponese Mikiya Takimoto ha ideato e diretto “Looking for Her”, un racconto in stile road movie ambientato in una storica città mineraria d’argento che segue una silenziosa ricerca di connessioni umane, girato anch’esso interamente con Osmo Pocket 4P. Da questi due processi creativi indipendenti è nata una convinzione condivisa: una camera così leggera da scomparire nella tua mano non comporta alcun compromesso in termini di profondità emotiva o precisione tecnica. Entrambi i film dimostrano tutte le potenzialità della narrazione cinematografica compresse in un formato tascabile. A Venezia, questa verità creativa privata è diventata una questione pubblica per il settore. 

Proiettare il futuro: Dalla teoria alla pratica 

La sessione è strutturata come un autentico dialogo nel settore, basato interamente sulla pratica cinematografica piuttosto che sulla dimostrazione del prodotto. Quattro cortometraggi realizzati da un gruppo internazionale di direttori della fotografia emergenti sono stati proiettati: Gabriele Mencaroni e Alessandro Tempestini (Italia), Liu Yadi (Cina/Francia) e Zhou Chengzhou (Cina/Paesi Bassi). Il loro lavoro collettivo spaziava dal cinema sperimentale alla produzione commerciale fino ai documentari riconosciuti nei festival, una diversità che riflette una generazione che opera oltre i tradizionali confini creativi. 

Dopo la proiezione e una dimostrazione di riprese dal vivo, tre direttori della fotografia di fama internazionale hanno fornito un rigoroso feedback professionale: Valentin Vignet, direttore della fotografia francese noto per il suo lavoro su Faces Places e sul cortometraggio candidato all’Oscar Nefta Football Club; Cristiano Di Nicola, direttore della fotografia italiano pluripremiato presente a Venezia con “L’Estranea” in Concorso Ufficiale; e Michele D’Attanasio, due volte vincitore del David di Donatello, noto per film come Veloce come il vento, Freaks Out e L’ombra di Caravaggio. Tutti e tre, forti di esperienza nella gestione di produzioni su larga scala, hanno valutato il racconto visivo dei giovani registi in base agli standard inflessibili del cinema professionale, dimostrando che la sofisticazione tecnica del lavoro era all’altezza – e non a discapito – dei parametri tradizionali della cinematografia. 

La tavola rotonda: Discussione sul settore sulla ridefinizione del cinema 

Il fulcro è stata una tavola rotonda: “In che modo una nuova generazione sta ridefinendo il cinema?” La conversazione ha intrecciato le prospettive distintive di direttori della fotografia affermati e registi emergenti, esplorando in modo naturale quattro fondamentali dimensioni: come gli strumenti compatti e stabilizzati su gimbal ridefiniscono il rapporto tra la camera, l’interprete e l’ambiente; se apparecchiature più leggere e flessibili democratizzino la produzione cinematografica professionale pur richiedendo una maggiore disciplina visiva; come i flussi di lavoro di produzione e le dinamiche sul set si trasformino con configurazioni leggere; e, in definitiva, se uno strumento possa davvero cambiare il linguaggio cinematografico stesso o se l’idea visiva debba sempre venire prima. 

Valentin Vignet ha riflettuto sul cambiamento psicologico quando l’imponente attrezzatura della macchina da presa scompare dal set: l’attore non deve più adattarsi all’apparecchiatura e la videocamera diventa un testimone piuttosto che un ostacolo. “La cosa che mi ha colpito di più di questi quattro cortometraggi è che nessuno dei registi ha dovuto scendere a compromessi sulla qualità per utilizzare una videocamera più leggera”, ha dichiarato Cristiano Di Nicola. “Ci sono state così tante inquadrature che prima non avrei mai pensato fossero possibili, e questo perché l’Osmo Pocket 4P ti libera come cineasta. Possiamo concentrarci di più su come raccontare la storia, in particolare su come avvicinarci all’azione, piuttosto che sulla preparazione dell’attrezzatura.” 

Per direttori della fotografia transculturali come Liu Yadi e Zhou Chengzhou, l’attenzione si è spostata: Come fanno i giovani direttori della fotografia a mantenere un’espressione davvero cinematografica entro i rigidi vincoli di budget limitati e troupe ridotte all’osso? La risposta è emersa in modo naturale dal dialogo: gli standard professionali — scienza del colore, gamma dinamica, precisione della stabilizzazione — sono ora svincolati dalla scala delle apparecchiature. Un direttore della fotografia che lavora da solo in uno spazio ristretto può adottare la stessa raffinatezza tecnica di una troupe hollywoodiana. La barriera d’ingresso si è abbassata non sacrificando la qualità, ma ridistribuendo i contesti in cui quella qualità può risiedere. 

La sessione Venice Production Bridge ospitata da DJI cristallizza un momento in cui la domanda fondamentale del cinema passa da «Di quali apparecchiature abbiamo bisogno?» a «Che cosa diventa possibile quando le apparecchiature smettono di essere un ostacolo?» Osmo Pocket 4P è la risposta di DJI: potenza d’immagine professionale svincolata dalla scala industriale, che permette a ogni narratore, in qualsiasi ambiente – dai vicoli stretti di Tokyo a una canoa su un tranquillo lago di un giardino – di portare sulla propria visione tutto il peso tecnico ed emotivo del cinema.
